Drake Maye (knee) underwent MRI ["I was told", per Ben Volin]

The only reporter to claim this is Ben Volin. It's been a day and no other reporter has corroborated the story. The only thing that HAS been reported is that he's fine and there's "no concern".

Let's all remember the time last year that Volin reported something he "was told". It was from a kid in high school who pretended to be connected to the team DMing him fake information on Twitter. Volin then reported it as fact "per sources". The kid then leaked the DM screenshots showing it was all made up.

So... never trust Volin, always wait for a second source.
Considering Maye's on the Injury report, I'd be more concerned if they didn't have an MRI or shrink and send Ms. Frizzle's Magic School bus in there to make absolutely sure.

Marcus has a groin illness? You gotta be safe out there, buddy.
Groin health is critical, no question.

Why when I was in college...

What I hate about the injury report is now a dirty defender or coordinator may try to take a shot on the knee.

I doubt he did, got a high ankle sprain last year and nobody outside the team knew until like a month later, re-injured it getting tackled against NC State I believe, near end of game, down by 19, coaches just expected him to be out rest of the game, nope, right back in to finish the game. He will play through a ton of pain, big competitor.

Oh to be young again! =) These injury reports are a weapon for teams to use to screw with other teams also. Put whomever they want on it to the other team has to account for someone else / change up their game plan. Glad he's ok...

If there's a problem, that's on Wolfe...period.
Why? It would have happened during Wednesday’s practice, the poor OL wouldn’t have made a difference there.

Hopefully, it really is a nuthinmuffin. However, with the dysfunctionpallooza that I'm seeing with this teams Leadership, I'm holding my proverbial breath.

How do you know it happened during Wednesday's practice? Given that you can't touch the QB during practice, it's much more likely that it happened during the game and has worsened since then.

Unrelated to the actual MRI... but Ben Volin will be out of a job soon now that the team isn't good. The schtick of always being contrarian and negative was good for driving engagement and baiting fan responses when we were good. Now he's not a contrarian anymore. He's just someone who whines about how bad the team is but doesn't actually have any football knowledge to be engaging about what needs to change. When the team is actually bad like it is now fans are going to start wanting actual analysis for how it can improve and Volin doesn't actually know football well enough for that.

He has no concerning knee issue. The MRI was done as a procedural thing breer mentioned today. He's slated to play Sunday.
"Procedural thing?" They were just going through the motions? No, they did it because he has knee pain and they wanted to rule out serious causes. I didn't claim he had a serious knee injury. Has anyone? What are you debunking?

Except if you're a QB by the name of Josh Allen. If I didn't know better (and I've wanted to vent this for a few years now), is there a "Nudge-nudge, Wink-wink" deal among NFL owners and coaching staffs to NOT tackle or hit Allen when he's already got the 1st down, doesn't go to slide, AND tries to jump over front 7 defensive players? If a QB made that a part of his regular game in the 80's through the early 2000's, an L.T., Carl Banks, Tippett, etc., would have taken him out (and quite cleanly) a long time ago. Defensive players, when Allen does those things, do not tackle and/or hit him like any other ball carrier under the same circumstances. Imagine back in the day what a Ted Johnson or Vincent Brown, or Bruschi would have done to him? And those are just former Patriots.

Uh huh. Like you know when the original injury occurred. Do you approve Wolfe's performance, or are you just talking out of your ass?
