Draft Rumors

Cornerback is a position I want to save until 43 since the differences between CB at 23 and 43 is very limited, while differences at LB and OT are significant.

They definitely need a CB in the first 2 rounds.

Any Draft pick is a crap shoot. 17%-19% success rate within a three year term. That is pro bowler, starter of valued back up. Everyone else is cut , traded of out of the league for some reason.

Throw darts and get better success. That is why 30% of every NFL Team is made up of UDFA , Trades and FA pick ups.

I've said it a few times. I would rather take a chance on Trade for Paxton Lynch and put him with Josh for a couple years. He has the arm. He has the size. He has played in the NFL and won. He is a square peg in Denver and they just paid Keenam. Elway will take a pick. Besides he is a former first rounder that BB can salvage and he loves that and will piss off Elway. The kid has won in the NFL and has NFL not just college tape. FYI his college tape surpassed the big three of Allen, Rosen, Darnold in this Draft at QB.

Elway will trade him. He also admits they did not do a good job preparing him. He's only 25.

Lynch's problem was that he was never under center in college and he's never shown the ability to play under center in the pros. He can't throw with a five or seven-step drop. It's the worry for all these quarterbacks coming out of spread schemes. Take the snap, one-read. Rarely throwing into tight windows. I'm not sure he's fixable; he would have demonstrated that by now.

The bold is a snake oil salesman’s best.

Lynch is 1-3 in 4 starts and the win was against a 3-13 team when he went 12-24-104 his offense had 206 total yards, scored 1 offensive td, and his defense forced 3 turnovers and still was up by only a td (a pick 6) until 29 seconds left in the game.
I’d venture to say there isn’t a qb in the league who would have lost in his spot.

If they trade the picks than that means they did a lot of homework to make that trade.

They can get Jackson with a first and second round pick. Rosen probably requires two first rounders. In fact, the only players I would want BB to trade up for are Chubb (if he falls a little), Tremaine Edmunds or Roquan Smith. I can live with trading up for Rosen.

He would be my bet if they were making a big move.

A lot of this “interest” in Lamar Jackson may be to throw people off about their real interest in Rosen. I mean most of this Jackson stuff came out immediately after the rumors about Josh Rosen started to surface. Coincidence?

I cannot believe in trading our picks to move up for anybody. More realistic scenario for me is to trade one of our first round picks to acquire more ammo in late rounds. But who knows what is in BB's mind.

I just have no sense of where Rosen will go. I could see him being taken in the top 4 or falling out of the top 10.

Those last two players you named would not shock me in the least.

I really don't see him being drafted in the top 4 unless Josh Allen's not drafted number 1 overral. If Cleveland goes Sam Darnold than just maybe the Giants might draft Rosen unless they take Barkley which I doubt. The jests are in love with mayfield unless it's a smoke screen.
