Eventual Gronk replacement? LOL!
The best "receiving TE" prospects in this draft class can only fantasize about one day becoming the receiver that Gronk has been from the get-go. And the blocking skills of those receiving TE prospects are either weak or non-existent.
"But, they can be taught to block." Really? The Pats worked with Jake Hollister all last season and he never really got it. O'Shaughnessy had been in the league three years, and it turned out that he was not better at blocking than Hollister was by the end of the season. Tim Wright never got it. Derby never got it. Ebron never got it.
But sure, let's draft one of these guys as a "Gronk replacement" (that will never actually exist), and then cut a guy who's maybe the best blocking TE in the league at this point in order to save a few bucks.
