I'll remind you of something you said earlier today

Sorry just had to clarify to a complete pomp pomp waving moron.. this is officially my last post until after the ravens game.

I was referring to commenting on the Pats defense. Since losing to Seattle they have beat up on the sisters of the poor. 49'ers, Jets and Rams not exactly offenses that are going to put up a lot of points.

Checking the stats....Flacco is the 26th rated QB in the NFL? Yikes.

Baltimore can come in here and win no doubt about it. They have weapons on the outside and a solid TE in Pitta. Their defense is physical and stingy.

No doubt the offenses named are significantly challenged to execute. So the Patriots D did what it should do which is play fundamentally sound. However, don't discount the effect repetition and confidence has, especially on a secondary.

I think it was Patfanken that brought up the lack of aggressive closing by the secondary a couple weeks ago; I think that question was answered to the positive this week as instead of continuing to 'allow the catch, but make the tackle' the secondary instead got to the receiver with the ball making those catches that much tougher. That was a return to the early season trend.

This week will see if the upward trend of the defense continues and they build on that confidence, and yes familiarity being developed with the new players such as Van Noy and the finally healthy McClellin which seemed to arise during the Rams contest.

If I were a betting man, given the tendencies of the Ravens offense and JBJ, likely a lot of cover-2 shell to prevent the deep passes, which is a return to the more conservative approach everyone hates. Should make for the usual armageddon-esque posting environment that has become a gamely thread staple.

I am glad this particular game is in the Razor......... question really is, will 12-4 be good enuff fer the #1 mustard seed? assume losses @ Donks and Fish with wins against Jest and Flacco-Ravens......

The Edgar Alan Poe poem on which they're named scares me more.

We do this every time we face him, and he usually ends up lighting us up. Careful now.
True. I remember well the chatter before the 2014 divisional game about how we would win easily, that the Ravens were a shell of themselves.

This will be a close game. I think we come out on top anyhow but that team and that QB are typically ready to play here. There are a lot of teams and players that fold when they come to NE. Baltimore is not one of them.

The Ravens are on a late-season roll. We need to hit them often and hit them hard. This will be a rock fight from start to finish! May the better team win. Go Pats!

I think we just found the title of the new Forum for those who wallow in talking trash about their own team and how much they suck:

"Hopefully I'm wrong."

AKA the Schadenfreude.

14 pages on a team most of the forum is not scared of. Looks fantastic.

On the one hand they're 4-1 in their last 5 with the only loss to 11-1 Dallas. Yes Cleveland was one win but beating both Pitt and Miami who have winning records and Cincy who always plays them tough much like the Jets do us are all quality wins. They dismantled a hot Miami team which you could view as Miami being due for a let down after playing over their heads for a month and a half. I think I'd rather play the Ravens this week coming off as good of a game as they can possibly play but I wouldn't treat them lightly and we know Bill isn't.

If the Pats win I'm sure we'll all be shocked to hear Whabaugh tell us how they were screwed.

Ravens don't scare oddsmakers. Roughly a 35% chance to make the playoffs.

No team should be "itimidated" by New England at home. Its embarrasing that any franchise would be scared to face us even if we are dominate. I say man up and do your fuc*ing job. Jeesh.

Yeah, this "fear-factor about going to Foxboro" meme is just another media creation that has, like most of their claims, a glaring lack of supporting evidence.

Vegas giving the Pats 7, seems too much. Think it'll be within a touchdown at the end like always.

So Pats getting 7 seems too much. But you think it will be within a TD?

Seems like Vegas got it right according to you.
