If I am the NFL I am angry, distraught and disappointed...because the Refs didn't follow procedure ! I could be the same about the Pats only if I had all the evidence. But just to find out that the refs didn't check with gauge before game would undermine the whole investigation.

You just cannot suck that much air out of a ball meticulously spec'd for your QB and say "here go play". From the article I posted in the other thread Eli said he wouldn't play with an unspec'd ball, can't imagine TB would either...

Is it guage pressure or absolute pressure? If absolute goes down 5% then guage pressure in this case goes down by about 1.4 psi.

Outside temp at halftime was 45 I think or about 7c. Inside would be about 22 possibly.
I just read it's absolute pressure. Absolute was 12.5 + 14.7.

If 21 and 7 are used it's 12.5 goes to 11.2.

Dead on!

Have you seen Roger's work?

I'm just saying. F that guy.

The truth is, it's painfully obvious in just 2 days that this is an issue with every team, so why let it fester, investigate it or otherwise promote it.

Is Rodgers gonna cost him and the packers the same penalty the pats get for admitting on the radio that he does the same thing? Naw

No offense to either you or Rich, but we can't take the word of a guy from PatsPulpit on this one, no matter how much of a stand up guy we might (or might not) generally consider him. Frankly, I don't trust the NFL, either, but they are the arbiter (Thanks NFLPA!)
No but is it safe to say if he didn't see anything funny going on neither will anyone else?

Dang, Eli has come out in support? He's gained a little respect from me now.

The Colts and the Patriots QBs, TEs, WRs, RBs, Centers, those making interceptions, those making fumble recoveries, those catching kickoffs and punts, those picking the ball up after a play, and multiple referees all clutched these footballs. Presumably all these players have grasped footballs before many many many many times. No referees or players raised a concern. The game concluded with a lopsided 45-7 score. Afterwards, supposedly, 11 balls were all numerically short the minimum 12.5 psi by (quick math) something like 11% (with, as some suggest, some of that 11% is to be expected due to extreme cold game time temperature).

I just want to make sure I am hearing "people", many coming out of the woodwork though some surprisingly not, exactly right, this is what makes you butt hurt? Wow, just wow.

Here's the story and it's been an ongoing for a while: What will a logic/fairness challenged (based on a clear recent track record) NFL front office do with the SCANDALOUS information noted in my first paragraph. Hey, who knows what these dolts will do, however, whatever they spout/do ain't going to effect the upcoming Patriot Super Bowl one iota (or the 2015 season for that matter). Otherwise than being the slow news week prior to Super Bowl week and the routine 'Patriots win too much' based click bait loudmouths and their troll/dimwhit following, this is a non story (sorry if I killed anyone's suspense).

I think the fact that it's completely dominating all media outlets and has been since about 200 mins following our AFCCG victory is what's got people pissed off and frustrated.

Instead of finally being excited and looking forward to the game, this is the focus. That's more than a damn shame, it's a feeling that is hard to put into words.

If "all's well that ends well" rings true in the end--then fine. If we have to endure another 7+ years of hearing about how everyone here cheats, that will suck ass on a monumental level.

Rodgers hasn't been caught tampering with footballs post-measurement, so the situation would not be an 1:1 comparison.

I haven't heard any evidence suggesting the Pats did either. It would be bad if they did, but that isn't how it is looking to me.

Hello this is groundbreaking
Although others said it too. 14 c difference about 25 f means guage pressure goes down 1.3 psi.

Bingo!

No the point is he slipped them by the refs. Balls slightly off make it through apparently.

If I am the nfl I'm distraught that I don't understand basic science.
