You think that? Rambling Joe has no chance. Dude doesn’t even know where he is half the time. He’s half the candidate Hillary was and he smoked her too.

Yes, neither does Trump, and the consensus (if you believe in polling) was that Hillary won all three debates. It just didn't help her because she was a lousy candidate and her campaign sucked.

Have you watched Joe debate? Clearly not, he is capable of holding his own. He can trade barbs with Trump and he has more substance to what he is saying.

No chance. Generally in a wartime situation and this is basically that, the incumbent wins quite easily. I’m not naive enough to believe that dude can’t win because that’s what happened with Trump.

Yes, but Trump isn't a President with which you can make this sort of assumption. His approval rating has been stuck right around 42 percent for his entire presidency, in an environment where a normal human would be in the mid-60s.

We see it again with Coronavirus:

A new Politico/Morning Consult poll finds a combined 41% of Americans rate President Trump as “excellent” or “good” for his response to the coronavirus, while 52% rate it as “poor” or “only fair.”

Voters split sharply along party lines: Only 10% of Democratic voters rate Trump’s handling of the situation as “excellent” or “good,” compared to 80% of Republicans who give Trump the same ratings.

Not much of a rally around the flag effect.

So what are Korea and China doing to solve the current problem? A common malaria drug could be the solution.

An effective treatment for #Coronavirus #COVID-19 has been found in a common anti-malarial drug

Encouraging news: three new medical studies show a commonly available anti-malaria drug known as chloroquine aka chloroquine phosphate is showing strong results against COVID-19 infections in both China and South Korea. Excerpts from three studies, including one published in Nature are below.

BTW the panic seems to me to be nonsense. The deaths in Italy for example have an average age of 81, the living arrangements in Italy may contribute in that many elderly people live with their children. They also have the oldest population in Europe.

I say that as someone in the high risk group.

You should see a CT scan of what this bad boy does to the lungs. Long term effects would be scarred lung tissue. You don’t want this.

Yup people who deny this are a danger to society. As big of a threat as the virus itself.

Then they’ll be killed off and society will be all the better for it. This was necessary. We are overpopulated and consuming resources at an alarming rate that can’t possibly be sustainable. Nature made a course correction.

Possibly a 30% degradation of the lungs and highly susceptible to pneumonia in the future, coupled with extreme infection rate. If that isnt something you seriously consider as bad from a public health perspective, Im glad your opinion largely matters to no one who makes important decisions.

Hospital ship being dispatched to NYC harbor.

Fun.

It’s fAkE nEwZ

As I stated earlier, violence will occur at a level that will make people question how we ever had a civilized society.

I doubt that. This country is proven to be resilient. We'll get through this by working together as we've done in the past.

It’s also not the first time the country has dealt with a virus/plague/whatever. We get our asses kicked for a while then figure it out.

Different time. Too many live day to day. What also doesn’t help us hearing don’t have several months of supplies on hand. You do t need that etc etc.

That is terrible advice. There is a difference between panic and prep.

If most stay inside, supply lines will stay running. You'll still be able to get deliveries or go to the store occasionally to stock up.

Folks will sadly die, but the country will be fine.

Even as we take a huge economic hit, keep in mind the whole world is. It's all relative.

I don't think it's nuts to compare this to WW2. Everyone will take a hit, but the US will likely recover faster than most too. Likely coming out even stronger when compared relatively to other countries.

The folks looking for armageddon will be disappointed.

The irony in all this is that it's precisely because we've invaded nature, e.g., space inhabited by wildlife, that we're starting to get so many viruses, from HIV to Ebola, to Cov19 all of which were crossovers. It's not going to get better, it's going to get worse.

It will be a sad day for Florida if that fat-faced alcoholic ever becomes our governor.

That might actually decrease his television and radio time.

Why anyone had a desire to discuss this epidemic from a political perspective is beyond my understanding

I have barely read any level of acceptance and personal responsibility from any poster in this thread.

This is an opportunity for society to put political differences aside and come together....unlike our partisan media.

I am grateful in a way that society is being forced to take a deep breath and slow down. That awful feeling that we’re in a hurry everywhere we go has disappeared overnight.

It’s time to reach out to family & friends and check up on one another. It’s also a time we have no choice but to be our brothers keeper and stop being selfish. If you see 10 packs of toilet paper, take one!
That would be great and all if we lived in LALA Land.

When the President just finished calling the virus Chinese Virus and that we are at war, putting a target on the back of all Chinese-Americans, platitudes about lets all work together sound hollow.

FYI, Biden is in worse health than Sanders by far. Even Obama's former doctor wasn't very praising of him. Biden has had two aneurysm, has an irregular heartbeat, high cholesterol, had his gallbladder removed, and has had several skin cancer scares.
Not sure why the thread has to devolve into talk of presidential candidate politics. If you want to vote for Trump because other guy isn't competent or less competent than that's your choice, nobody cares.
