Transaction News: Patriots Release Bear Pascoe
Winslow Townson - USA TODAY Sports
The New England Patriots made a minor roster move on Monday afternoon, releasing tight end Bear Pascoe as first reported by WEEI’s Christopher Price and The Providence Journal’s Mark Daniels.
Pascoe didn’t see much action for the during his brief one month stint with the Patriots, he was fifth on the deep tight end depth chart behind Rob Gronkowski, Martellus Bennett, Clay Harbor and rookie AJ Derby.
According to Price, “The 6-foot-5, 265-pounder has spent seven seasons in the league, having suited up for the Giants, Falcons and Lions. He has 40 career catches for 336 yards and two touchdowns.”
The move trims the active roster down to 83 players heading into the Preseason Week 3 matchup with the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte Friday night.
Also stay tuned for which media member wins the “who reported first” battle.
Mark and I are going to meet at the 50-yard line later today to battle it out. https://t.co/JKBQziM12P
