I never said our D was not stellar and Newton diddnt run all over. What I questioned was the Aaron Rodgers reference. I diddnt think Newtons passing numbers were that great and I still dont think allowing Smith 62 yards and no TD's is a bad day for our secondary.

Also, they scored 24 points which we have given up just about 3 times this year, and our O was somewhat flat compared to usual. Its not like 24 points should be a problem for a pats team, well this year anyway.

Also, why do people gripe about not having this super secondary this year when the team decided to put more resources into the D line which has obviously paid dividends? Better D/better team.

I dont know, I am just trying to fill in some blanks here. And again they had no business winning that game when they had been called for a blatant PI call. Incidentally that we get called for a pushing penalty that cost us a game too?

Rodgers is hailed as the prototype QB because he can kill defenses with his legs and arm. Our defense, in that game, had Newton looking as good, if not better than the over-hyped Aaron Rodgers, before he lost his receivers this year.

It is a bad day, when you consider the drives. It took Newton nearly 8 minutes to score on every drive. Imagine if it took him 3 minutes, the score would've been 45-38. The score or the stats for that game does not indicated how good we made him look that night, only re-watching that travesty will show you. Newton is a garbage QB, he had no business looking that good that night. I get the PI call, but that has nothing to do with how sorry our defense played that night.

I don't think the D is any better now. When we aren't playing scrub QBs, we're playing teams like Pittsburgh who are killing themselves all game with dropped passes and stupid penalties. When QBs throw the ball 10+ yards on us, the pass is completed nearly 90% of the time. It's the only reason, I haven't bragged about going undefeated this season, because I'm not even sure we can stop the Redskins offense Sunday or Beckham Jr. when we face the Giants. I am confident Brady can put up 40+ though.

One of these teams is actually undefeated? Something wrong here

Whoever gets that top seed's gonna have a huge advantage in the playoffs. Colts likely will be the 4th seed.

Colts would have to beat #6 seed wild card for this to matter.

I'll wait for the safety.

Grudin: "Costly mistake by the Panthers." What? No Piano Man hyperbole? No, he played a sour note on that one. Or The Piano Man needs a tune-up. ????

One game is n

As bad as the Colts suck and as much as they deserve an epic fail, they are going to win that division. Unless Jax is about turn the corner, it's theirs. Texans and Tenn just suck the big one much worse than Indy.
Just is what it is...

Jacksonville has more wins against the AFCE than the Colts do.

panthers knew the 1st down was a pass play and 2nd was a run... really nothing playcalling by colts.

Josh Norman is a free agent....

Josh Norman....wow

Damn, Josh Norman really is as good as his billing. He's awesome.

wow nice throw though, in his hands

No. They winning that lousy division lol although the texans might have a say about it

But they wouldn't play the #1 seed unless they win their home wild card game against the #6 seed.
