Aside from the overhaul of the roster there could be some dramatic changes in their approach to games on the field. I.e….they are going to use something known as a game plan . It’s actually something Bill Belichick used to do, where they would take away the other team’s strengths and force them to try and beat them with their weaknesses. Shocking, I know, but I’m pretty sure that Vrabel actually employs this same “ strategy” a concept that was a lost art for the 2024 Patriots. This is going to shock those who played for Mayo, as they haven’t encountered ideas like this since high school and college, and probably forgot that they even existed during the 2024 “ I can’t help them once they are inside those lines” season, but unfortunately the “ just lace them up and give them heck” approach Mayo employed just didn’t work, and try as I may I can’t imagine why, but I expect that Vrabel and Co. will try new age concepts like locking down the opponents best receiver, or limiting opponents drive opportunities by eating up the clock with a power run game. And while that may seem unfair to some, it could just work, and maybe add a couple of wins to their season.
