Thanks for the reasonable response. As often seems the case in opposing views we share a lot of common ground.I did not call you a troll. My post may have sounded too generalized which I regret, in so far as I regret a post.
I'm primarily talking about the people doom and glooming about how horrible this is already. I myself acknowledge Garoppolo looks like a stud. It may turn out to be a wrong decision in retrospect but for me it would take quite a bit of success for JG to lament it coupled with a free fall or very soon retirement from Brady (without another SB). If we draft a good QB then I won't consider it a big blunder.
I should also note that I've largely become disillusioned with the NFL in general for a number of reasons. I don't really see myself watching attentively after Brady/Belichick. So from my perspective I guess I'm not as invested in 5 or even 10 years from now. That means I'd probably be satisfied with one or two more Super Bowls for those two. I assume I'll just be a casual viewer at most once the Brady era ends.
I'm very interested in the whole team-building process and how to consistently attain excellence, so I'll be watching after Brady retires to see how BB solves that problem. And after BB retires, to see how RFK/JK solve that one.
I also expect that Brady's dad will be correct about the ending, although it may not be as messy as folks expect. I think it's likely to be sooner than #12 wants it to be, and when BB decides that having him on the field instead of whatever alternative is available at the time it will trigger a firestorm that will make all the past Patriots controversies seem tame.
Incidentally, I'd love to be wrong about a lot of what I foresee, but I've got to call it as I see it.
