Can we not give up on Tom Brady after one game?

100% correct. Loyalty has nothing to do with it though. TB12 has simply earned the benefit of the doubt.

This.

The offense is 11 moving parts that need to operate as one. I don't think that was happening consistently Thurs night.

Quite frankly, I think TB12 and Gronk need to re-establish their chemistry. Keep in mind he hadn't played in a reg season game with Tom in almost a year.

Thurs night should be viewed as just a bad game and TB12 getting used to new players and players he really hasn't played with in a while.

KC has been a well coached, very good team for a handful of years now and will be this year. However, losing Eric Berry is
catastrophic.

There is nothing to doubt to give him the benefit of. Brady played well.

The same thing happened with Cassell.

Fans were dressed as Knights of the round table and ready to move on from Brady.

Most of those don't know the game to save their life.

Brady played just fine. Good game. Anybody complaining is delusional.

We'd played like **** and put up 27....most teams would love that amount of points playing well. Skys the limit for this team but they need to realize just wearing the uniform isnt enough...

Actually, 27 is the same as our 3rd rated offense of last year. It's a bit of a head-scratcher that anybody would even mention Brady after a D that looked so miserable lost that game.

Any supposed "Pats Fan" who is wanting Brady benched is an arm chair football fan that really doesn't understand the game. Just my opinion of course.

This thread is getting out of hand..... no one has to call other people p*****ies or make these kinds of insults. No one is giving up on Brady or calling him to be benched. R-E-L-A-X

It adds impact. Emphasis. A bit of umph to a statement.

"Hey Guys, could you please be quiet and stop talking about things you have little understanding of" doesn't have the same impact as STFU you F'ing P***Y.

And yes there were those calling for him to be benched.

Brady didn't throw for any TDs and thats half the reason people are freaking out. The other half is Tom and some of the receivers aren't on the same page yet obviously. Some of you guys are acting like they don't know that and don't have any plans to fix. Overreaction Monday syndrome.

What a bunch of asshats. Brady didn't play well but everyone outside of the special teams unit sucked on Thursday, coaching was abhorrently abysmal. Getting outschemed by that walrus Andy Reid leaves a bad taste.

The article was nothing but clickbait. While any group of millions of people will have an idiot or two, most of those comments in the article seemed to me like sarcasm.

Patriots fans already calling for Jimmy Garoppolo to start over Tom Brady

Yeah it's just blowing up a bunch of tweets into a "thing." I wasn't in the gameday thread much... but I bet one or two ahem "posters" in there were easily as bad.

Hey, I'm not a "homer" or a "Brady Loyalist." But we went 3 games straight in '14 before we were "on to Cincinnati."

Did these guys sign on after '14 or something?

Just damn.
Really wish people wouldn't legitimize crap like this by making a thread.

There's no difference between the people giving up on Brady after one game and the people who think he's still going to be the best quarterback in the NFL at 45 years old, both are pretty deluded.

He was awful on Thursday but it's one game, no point in pretending he wasn't bad, if we get another 3/4 games of that in a row then i'll be concerned that the cliff talk is real but a big part of the problem was the offensive gameplan.

Who says they're Pats fans? Not like they passed an initiation test.

I know we are one of the lesser liked fan bases in football and IMO this is a big reason why.

Again, who gives up on Brady [who wasn't playing defense that I noticed] anyway. It's a disgrace to call them fans and stupid to start multiple threads about them.

He wasn't bad. He wasn't great but he wasn't bad.

He wasn't bad. He wasn't great but he wasn't bad.

He was awful by Tom Brady standards, you're in denial.

He completed 44% of his passes and missed several wide open guys, he was chucking and ducking and even managed to throw a pass 2 yard beyond the line of scrimmage.

That was a bad Eli Manning type game, you very rarely see Tom Brady that inaccurate.

He was awful on Thursday
27 points is awful? If the team haddnt screwed up two 4th and inches plays I am sure they would have had at least one FG just out of those 2 drives.

Was he TB like? Nope but the standard has been set so high it sets up unrealistic expectations.

Well at least you have a sense a humor about it!

I disagree. I'm not in denial. The Coaches film just opened up this morning. Brady was playing a smart game.

I didn't say he played great but he most definitely did not play bad.

I'll post something later in another thread with some screenshots. Hopefully I can capture the infamous Fluttering Pass.
