He took a brutal head shot in that game vs Texans. Can't blame him for getting a neck injury on that one.

Less White means a reduced chance of winning games.

White is playing 60% of the snaps compared to 40% last year. I don't think his workload is a concern.

Great news! Hopefully, he'll only get a few carries and a couple passes a game though while backing up a healthy Michel and White. His return will make us a better team. Maybe only marginally, but better nonetheless.

As long as White and Michel are healthy I'd rather not see him get meaningful snaps over either of them, but as depth he's definitely a welcome return.

Neither is deadwood.

Barner is a backup RB until Burkhead returns.

Hollister is our #3 TE, often needed. He is also a top special teamer.

I'm not a huge fan of Burk, but he's almost exactly what this roster needs (a Blount type would be better). Will hold off on the injury jokes for now.

Lions fans are complaining about Blount so there is a slight chance that he might become available.

Hollister is our #3 TE, often needed.

No, he’s only played in 3.37% of the offensive snaps this year, and last year saw 7.55%. He’s most certainly not often needed as a third tight end.

Like you said, he’s a capable ST player. I’m not sure about “top” special teamer, but that term is subjective. He’s played in about 17% of the ST snaps this year, and about 40% last year.

Bill seems to like him enough to keep him around, so that’s good enough for me.
