Brissett to start vs Cardinals

accuracy...and pretty severely too. he projects to be another Tyrod Taylor. Athlete masquerading as a QB

Tyrod Taylor has stats that don't differ appreciable from former MVP Cam Newton. In fact Taylor has higher comp%, higher QBrating, higher QBR, and same Y/A. Although Newton does get more yards/game. Even in terms of record, Newton has a losing record in 4/6 seasons.

Arguably the biggest difference is Newton is 4 inches taller.

If Brissett has better stats than Brady this forum will implode! Hahaha

Based on KC, no reason not to think Brady is capable of another stinker considering he'll be throwing to half his expected main guys

If Brady has another game like KC, something like 20-43-230 no TDs and throws a pick....look out out muppets if Brisset has a good game!

What part of his skillet is limited?

Remember we're not in the greatest position to judge because we've watched the greatest quarterback who ever lived ply his trade here for so long. Anyone looks limited if you're comparing them to the GOAT.
I'm not comparing him to Brady, I'm going by what he's shown in college and so far in the pros. His mechanics are lacking and that's very hard to learn/unlearn. We'll see.

I hate Jim Irsay, he's an awful person and i hate Carson Palmer he's a horrible person. This is a tough one for me.

I like Brisset, so i hope he plays well and then Palmer gets injured and the Cards win the game with a new QB

Does he even have a remote chance of succeeding?

Bad o-line, bad defense, 2 weeks to learn the playbook and practice with his receivers. It sounds like an impossible situation for second year, recently QB3. Even a seasoned pro would struggle with that set up.

It's not a starting opportunity, it's a human sacrifice.

Unfortunately there is not many opportunities in the NFL for a QB to land in an ideal situation. For Brissett, this is an opportunity to show some of his intangibles, do not stink up the joint and then become one of those journeyman QB's who stay on the league for years going from team to team. He would still be a pro athlete and making millions, not bad. It's important to be playing like the Blaine Gabberts and Brian Hoyers of life, if he stays 4 years as a QB3 there are chances he doesn't get a 2nd contract.

And if a guy like tolzein can draw a check from an NFL team Brissett has a bright future I think.

I still believe Brissett has a fair shot to become a midtier starter at roughly the level of a Matt Schaub or an Alex Smith. A guy who can't carry the team but can hold up his own end of the deal in a good squad.
Guys like that do win Super Bowls as well!

Now we will learn what Brissett can bring to the table. People have been hating on him since he has been here. I haven't seen the reasons for that, so I am intrigued. QBs with bad mechanics and accuracy problems don't complete 26 out of 38 passes (or whatever it was).

Against who? Guys working for Walmart right now?

his release is absurdly slow

I'm a fan of jacoby the person, just not the QB. Slow release, poor mechanics, inaccurate inconsistent arm...just a recipe for disaster in the NFL

On the Colts forum a dude already suggested trading Luck for a boatload of picks and tanking to get into the Sam Darnold sweepstakes. What a lousy organization from top to bottom including the fan base.

Seriously sometimes I go there to laugh a bit about how delusional they are.

RE: JG... Almost always, you don't walk away from Belichick. He walks away from you.

He's still here for a reason. Many other QB's with upside have come in, backed up Tom, and then been traded for picks. JG stuck around anyway. Make of it what you will.
