He was as solid as they come for a back of the roster guy, he could perform admirably as a RB in certain situations and was a core STer

Granted, he's one of those guys that you hope the team has drafted adequately enough to replace with a cheaper option

We cut him because he didn’t make the 53. Some report out of Miami means nothing to me.
If we were worried about losing him we wouldn’t have cut down to 52. There was absolutely no reason to cut him other than he didn’t make the cut.

Bolden was very useful player . Never knew why he wasn't involved more in the offense.. too valuable on sts to be used in offense..? . Which leads to what will Miami do with him...? We shall see..

Not good enough in offense to be involved in offense.
He had his opportunity in 2015 when everyone got injured. The team chose to sign decrepit Steven Jackson and play him instead.

I liked Brandon Bolden, but his workload with the NEP had diminished the last two years . In the 2016 & 2017 seasons he only had 14 carries for 71 yards.... so his dual role was somewhat diminished. For the Dolphins he has had 3 rushes... so his RB role there is not all that much either.

For a role players he was paid "fairly well" when he was with the NEP..

I've got no problem with Bolden being gone. He seems like a great guy, but I'm not worried about an ST only player who's not a P/K/LS, and is on a team that already has several good ST only guys. I've got a problem with him being cut loose for scraps, if they wanted him kept (which is what's been reported). Knowing what was likely to become available, it was obvious that must have WRs weren't making it the the second to last waiver slot. Must have OL weren't making it to the second to last waiver slot, either.

Or, to put it another way:

Good ST player hell yeah but when the Pats were reduced to putting him in at RB his 63% catch rate was cringe worthy.
