Boutte available for trade?

I am not missing anything. You are just trying to manipulate the numbers to fit your argument. Pierce can get open. Boutte cannot consistently. Boutte had lesser QBs.

Pierce is overpayed. Boutte is on a rookie contract. Yes, you get more value from Boutte. You get a back up WR in Boutte on a rookie fifth round contract. He is getting paid like a #3 or #4 WR which is what he is.
I promised myself a while ago not to ever interact with you. I don't even know what you're writing here really, there are 2 numbers. I'm not manipulating anything. You've made claims which are plainly disproven and anyone can see it. You claim things that no one ever said ("Lesser QBs") or whatever.

Once again: you can have the last idiotic word. I'm done.

Neither are better than A.J. Brown though.
but thats not the comparison
Diggs, Boutte and a 2027 1st rd pick (in theory) or AJB

look, I am on board with AJB for a year, maybe 2, at his current dollars
but I dont trust his health and I dont trust his willingness to honor his deal

If healthy and happy, I have Brown a huge asset for the offense, and the difference between making the playoffs and not

I think the rumor says 2028 First Rounder. The 2027 Draft is going to be a very Strong one so; I would rather keep that pick.

everything you said is correct
what you didn't say was that both Brown and Boutte could be on the team (and Doubs)
Hollins (and Pop) could be odd guys out
Williams could be a bust
Boutte is at $3m against the cap
keep him

if you are a betting man, who has better counting stats in 2 years, Brown or Boutte? 3 years? 4 years?
If Brown comes, Boutte's snaps are reduced in his contract year. Not a recipe for a happy camper or someone who isn't likely to cause a disruption.

And when he goes to McDaniels and demands that they give him the ball or walks out of practice and calls Wolf from his car again and tells him that he is done with football, you will be ok with it.

Again, there is a chance Boutte is not going to show up without a new contract or a guarantee of a starting job.
Roster spot 53 will not be critical for many months.

If Boutte wants to sit out, that's fine. It won't help him get big money from another team. We'll simply trade him for whatever in late August. I suspect that issue will be solved before camp. Maybe someone will want enough to give us an acceptable pick in July, probably not. But Boutte won't be distraction. He simply isn't important enough to the patriots.

I don't see how his failure to practice will affect the team in any way. Traning camp and the pre-season will simply continue with those who want to play.

Boutte has been exceptional when thrown to
he is a tremendous value on his given contract
Perhaps there's a reason he's thrown to less than other WRs.

Many fans are concerned with the effect of losing a top 2028 draft pick who would likely be a key contributor in 2029.

On the other hand, Vrabel is focusing on winning in 2026 and 2027 and 2028.

IMO, it is arguably malfeasance not to try to go deep into the playoffs while Maye is in his rookie contract (his first five years). Next year, first his fifth year will be guaranteed and then his long-term extension will be signed. We need to take maximum advantage of Maye's first five years at low pay.

The priorities are to sign Brown and extend Gonzalez before camp.

And I'm surer that Vrabel will continue to look for upgrades on Defense.

Sort of Stockholm syndrom-y analysis. I don't know who he called from his car, but he's under contract and it's a business. F-in head case receivers.

What damn incentive does anybody have to honor their contracts when they can just have meltdown calls and get what they want instead?

Put it this way, I'll take that chance vs. the "ultimate sanction" of possibly not getting a 5th for him. Whining at McDaniels or calling Eliot Wolf are little vignettes I'm not familiar with, but one thing is for damn sure, you give one hostage taking head case WR what he wants, you're just teaching the next 3 of them.

I guess if you can't be indispensable, be dispensable and loud about it.

That's his choice.
He will deal with the consequences if he does that.
The second that happens, he slices his value in half to 31 other teams.

Again, so what?
This isn't 1988 Jerry Rice we're talking about here.
He can show up, go to work for what's left on his contract, and leave in FA after the year.
He can pout, try to be a distraction and a problem.

If he does the 2nd thing, he will destroy his value in the league. He already has a strike against him with the gambling stuff in college.

I believe he will do the right thing

Too late: Eliot The **** already has his diapers at his ankles and is simply waiting for 02 June so Howie can anal-rape him for whatever he wants...
