The Patriots got their asses beat by Miami and K.C. this season. To act as if yesterday, Denver's only bad loss of the season, is some proof that Denver is the soft team is nothing more than acting like a homer displaying a selective memory.

As for hyping Denver, I said at the start that it's Denver and NE, and then everyone else. Nothing has changed that.

Those numbers don't lie.

We own Denver. Brady owns Jack Del Rio. Brady owns Manning. Belichick owns Manning. Belichick owns Fox. Gronk owns everybody.

The Denver Broncos are sweet children of the summer, and winter is coming.

Last year the AFC play offs we're laid with a red carpet for them. Injured San Diego and badly injured New England, coming off our worst off season ever, only to get absolutely humiliated in the Superbowl.

Peyton has lost to most of the good teams he's played since arriving in Colorado.

Without allowing the media to affect your better judgement, you would see that Denver is a flashier Cincinnati Bengals with a much more famous quarterback.

The numbers do lie. The fact that you're tossing in that asterisk is a pretty clear demonstration of it.

Agreed. I might be overlooking them a bit too much. I just dont see them as a legitimate threat.

I've got to agree with @Deus Irae here that nothing's changed, and that DEN is still without a doubt, the biggest obstacle in the AFC.

I feel as though others have backed up some solid points as well, mostly on the "Denver is soft" analysis, which I do agree with.

That said, I feel as though Manning and their weapons will always make them a very tough out, and I'd prefer not to see them again in the postseason.

So, in the post SB era, the Patriots have lost to a team they played in the regular season, in every single playoff year. Half the time, they've lost to a team that they had already beaten in the regular season, including the Broncos just last year.

I sure as hell would like to avoid having to attempt to beat Manning and all of those weapons again twice in the same season. I would fully expect them to say the same thing about us, were the shoe on the other foot.

#1 threat- Denver. As long as Peyton can consistently throw those go routes perfectly in stride, he will always be a threat.

#2 Miami. If you actually look at their roster, you will see a solid team and they have actually beat us the last TWO times. Wake, Grimes, etc. For the last decade+, I never look past this team.

#3 San Diego. For years now, they are a streaky team that can beat anyone if slept on.

#4 KC. Solid team and I can't ignore that beating they put on us. Plus their field sucks.

**i don't fear teams w/ #1 wr that are quick and small like Hilton, Antonio Brown, etc. We seem to contain these kind of guys pretty well long before we got Revis and co.
