Trey Lance would probably be the consensus #2 QB in this draft if he played with Bateman at Minnesota.
And that OL. I bet Michigan and a few other teams have been kicking themselves as well.

I watched some michigan games since nothing was on at saturdays due to covid and i like michigan but it was hard to watch. No fun this season. Offense meh and Pass defense meh.

Spencer Brown thoughts ...
Very well put together. Lean guy that looks like he can still work on that body bx of how well he carries it.

If you watch him play his movements, bend, agility stands out. He's not compacted or heavy. Very easy mover. Quick, active feet. He's still a little unsure how how deep or wide his steps should be bc of how big he is. It could be more consistent. Big dude though. It's like pad issues, he'll have to always check himself at times. Steps, sets, depth etc could be fixed though if he's up to it. But they're so quick they give him mirror ability.

Like his hands as well. Active, strong but at times carries them to close together. He loves getting inside the #'s and generating torque, clearing his man out of the play. He'll feint, switch up the speed, pretty accurate. Needs to get stronger though at times bc of his size opponents get his chest.

Tough, nasty finisher. He loves getting on top of His blocks. Loves to finish.

Patient, doesn't panic if he's beat. Prevented a few would-be pressures and sacks by reworking hands, hop to handle power, seems like he's ready for battle but the NFL will be a jump for him in that regard. He'll see a lot of stuff for the first time, in-game.

Natural athlete. Lots of upside in pass pro. Quicks, length and size give defenders fit in space, 2nd level, angle blocks. Tough to handle once he gets going.

He would be a Scar special if Dante was still on the treadmill in Foxboro.

@BaconGrundleCandy I think I have a Bacon bias in my mocks now, I'm subconsciously drafting a lot of guys from your list now lol

Are the players that you listed the only players you would consider drafting, or is that just the pool of players that you've spent time scouting? I see a lot of players in mocks at certain positions that aren't on your list, but are rated much higher than some others on the list. I understand that everyone ranks players differently, etc, but was just curious on your list if its a compilation of the top prospects in your eyes as draftable, or if its a pool you have scouted and there could potentially be many more draftable players?

I turned your excel into smaller screenshots so i could have them up on a 2nd computer with a small monitor (i think i added a few players you didnt have listed, like Trevor Lawrence and either Lance or Fields)

@manxman2601 More thoughts here about Brown. He's legit. Reminds me a little bit of another 6'8 RT for us, although I'm not sure he's as powerful or as smooth as Vollmer was when we drafted him.

So when I pretend I'm Bill this is the list that I'm picking off. Solely Patriot-Type Prospects. It's in need of a bad update, hopefully by the end of this week I can have 80%-90% set. A lot of names will change.

What a teammate! I wouldn't mind picking up Najee to offset the loss of White and Burkhead. He would start in a rotation, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him pass Harris and Michel by year two.

By "year two" Michel is a UFA.. So we'd have Harris and Harris in the backfield and probably looking at drafting someone in the mid rounds again.

I love Harris. His patience to wait for a running lane to open up is fun to watch. Also incredible pass blocker with his strength. I think he would be a great fit if we run more of a power scheme since he is used to a power O-Line from Bama. and + pass catcher too. Really not much he can't do. But i think he goes late first early second. Jets could use him but let's hope not. Him running behind Becton = no fun
