It's easy, and only takes a few moments.People that watched Pitts know he block a little and what he can do with some practice, technique help. There's plenty of good reps on tape to work from. No reason he can't be good enough in this area.
My point was Harry is actually a very good blocker, also close to the line, yet nobody mistakes him for a TE (yet). Adding legit X and lining Harry inside Y/TE could help him..
Denominations are beside the point was my other point. All TE denomination/designation does is hurt a player like Pitts (or Waller). They are losing half their $ as vets and a lot of bargain leverage to teams (TE FT1, FT2..)
Here interesting discussion about special value these kind of players have in NFL. I recommend listening to all Cosell part (first 30 min), he goes more in depth to this point QB getting best info from move TE/big WR. Also interesting discussion about some other hybrid positions, catch-22s of versatile D players transitioning to NFL, discussing JOK belonging more to safety than LB room.. They make a good point that draftnicks many times overlook - coaches have to put players in one of the rooms (studying, practicing...)

LD this is hurtful, bc I can tell you're not reading Bacon. I also having been saying he'll be the first pass catcher off the board and if you need an X type of WR, he's your man. Those guys definitely agree with me. They sound like they know what they're talking about.
Seriously though they're late to the party. This really isn't new.
My whole point is there's a perception around Pitts that he can't block. He definitely needs work but he absolutely can contribute in that area and have + plays. No one walking the earth thinks he'll be a strict Y/inline TE. It's just that he can do that if necessary. It's part of what makes him so special.
From May 9 I think ...
Match-up nightmare. Lined 400+/700 inline - He's a weapon. Slot. Backfield. Wide. Detached. Motion. You can line him up anywhere. Could be a real problem out backfield/slot bc of space to work. He's an easy mover. Generates some decent pick up and is a 6'6/240 problem most DB's don't want and Lbs just can't keep up with him.
Big time potential out wide if he continues to improve his hand usage and ability to get off the line/press. Pitts will utilize his length with a stab to create some space. Swim and swipe to clear his man. Loves using the swim. Will try to get low & dip around his man. Very impressive. You love to see the effort and aggression. This is really nice to see from a guy this young, this raw.
Smooth mover for 6'5/6'6. Eats up yards with long powerful strides. LB & DB will have trouble bc his speed, length & physicality at the catch point at times. Has shown the ability to catch through contact. Physical, tough to bring down.
At times catches away from his body extending arms out making a big target. Hands look solid. Looks the part as a game wrecker if healthy and keeps on with this trajectory. I can't wait to see how he looks going forward. He has a really good QB to work with and will be featured so he'll be a big name next year for sure. 100%
Big time potential on all 3 levels, all over the field. Has the shake to make you miss in short area. Quick/speed & body to win in the intermediate/deep. Like I said above some decent burst/juice
Could be a little sharper on some routes but looks clean at times. Big body creates natural separation. Could be very tough up the seam, crossers. Once he really understands this game he could be a very good player.
Ahead of the game in a lot of key areas. Understand leverage, + hand usage & versatility. Potential yac monster. Knows how to separate off line, in route. Love to see him work that natural separation-length off leverage reads
If he improves his rr, hands & blocking, even slightly. He'll be a top 25-40 pick. I can't wait to see what he looks like after last year in terms of physical development.
Absolutely. I know you don't take me too seriously. Getting to a guy first isn't everything but real draft nuts are following these guys since kids so it's just part of the process. It's not everything, having a great understanding of the prospect and being right on their value is more important but again that's one of the good things about weirdos like me. You know who/what a prospect is a year(s) before they are a name.Sorry, hope it didn't hurt too much
As you know i am extremely late to the party but i posted this knowing most of what you were saying to underline/complement/add to discussions you opened earlier in similar lines
I don't think draft discussions should be competition but sharing - and thats whats always been great about this draft board/thread..
I also think repeating posts/evals etc is useful since many are joining at different times..
ps
Cosell is always “late to the party“ but has still best stuff & track record out there..
It's a long thread but Fehoko is mentioned here. Size/speed guy that can absolutely drill you lol. Claypool isn't a bad comparison, similar types.
I'm glad people are coming around to Mills. I've been touting him for months, been on my Pats board and excellent value compared to Mac at 15.
For anyone else ...
Not saying this is any type of way but if you're looking to get caught up in the draft so far. Take a half hour or so and go through this thread. I can't mention every prospect but I'd bet a good deal are brought up here. Big names and guys you've never even heard about.
Also I have to say the function that lets you tap on the posters name to see all their post in a thread is a great idea @Ian. Vert efficient to find certain post.
I'm surprised we're not already there. This is also one of the reasons I laugh when people call the draft a crapshoot. There's a little bit of a gamble but we have more info than ever before. Dating back to grade school for gods sake. From mental make up to physical attributes. Very little is hidden or not known by April.

He's a horse man. He almost hit 24 mph in 2019 lol! Long speed is legit. Haven't heard any #'s on him recently. I'll definitely post when it happens.Any idea if Tamorrian Terry ran? He was on his way to being a possible first rounder. He’s got good late round value.
Exactly. It's also why I don't mind waiting until around now to finalize grades. Especially for QB's. I won't react to every thing I hear but some stuff matters. A lot of that will come out around now when prospects are talking to media, scouts and teams. What we typically don't get is what happened in interviews and some of the intangibles. It's why I asked about the one guy who was a Starter at OSU but transferred to Louisville.. Most would see that as a step down in competition and would question why a player would do that. Moving closer to home because a family member is sick is a very VALID reason to make that transfer. It shows where a player's off-field priorities are..
Sure@BaconGrundleCandy - Could I ask a small favor? Could you post the Player's position if the Tweet doesn't mention it? Some of us don't know all these players names and someone at 6'3 -286 could be a DT or DE or TE or OLB.. Appreciate it.
I would gladly take Chase at 15 if he's there. I have a 1st on him & Smith. Waddle will most likely get a high 2nd even with good testing but I'd obviously have np taking him either. What's your ranking on Mills?
2nd Round
If Waddle and Smith are off the board, do think BB opts for an OT or do you think BB tries to trade out of the 1st for a 2nd this year and a 1st next year?
You are very welcomeThank you Bacon Ground Candy there. As would love to hear from it.
Cannon is a question mark u guess? I love him when healthy but one of these guys and Wynn could be great combo. I think we save 5-6m if he's cut? I could be very wrong about that I don't follow the cap closely but if that's the case I think it's on the table. This is a great tackle class imo.
Yea I think Bill would have np taking guys like Radunz, Jenkins, Darrisaw, maybe AVT? I love all those guys and could see him taking one.

I like Davis Mills a lot. You got Brady Davis on the mind lol?Cannon would save 7M if cut. That being said, the Pats have questions behind Wynn and Herron. I think that Onwenu is destined for the LG position. The Pats have typically carried 4 OTs with 1-2 more on the PS. So I definitely see the potential of taking an OT in the 1st to develop and be ready to take over in 2021. They've done this repeatedly (Light, Solder, Wynn).
BTW, you sold me on Brady Mills. I think he'd be a steal in the 2nd round (or later).
