I've always thought it's unfair to lump Ben in with Eli Manning since they are from the same draft class. Ben is 10x better than Eli and is a deserving Hall of Fame quarterback.
I'm not convinced that Peyton Manning's overall body of work and level of play trumps Big Ben. Manning never won a Super Bowl where he played even decent in the playoffs or the big game, and he was carried both times. Ben's career numbers are not a huge gap from P. Manning in terms of passer rating and averages. Ben has led multiple comebacks on the big stage and had crowning moments - Manning not so much. Ben can't read defenses like Manning, yet despite throwing a lot of jump balls, Ben has a better interception percentage. I've always wondered why people thought Manning was so incredibly smart when he thew more interceptions than his elite peers, and by quite a big margin, and his playbook was actually, according to Tom Moore, incredibly simple.
