I think if there's any team out there right now who's hurting (aside from the obvious AFC South), it's Denver. I do think that they can turn things around a bit and still pose as a formidable threat against the 6th seed in the postseason (probably Pittsburgh), seeing as how the game is at home, and how they still have a tough defense.
Like you said, this upcoming DEN/CIN matchup will be worth watching no matter what. I have a feeling that we may see a stronger effort from Cincy in this game than many seem to expect, although that's just based on my opinion alone.
I agree with your hunch Sup. I think the question of "Cincy's effort" is a BFD for Cincy's psyche and they'll show up. Right here is where I think they make their statement that the paper tiger Cincy teams of the past are no more -- that a critical late season game with major PO implications will be the game they 'show up' at a top tier/non paper tiger level.
But I'll tell ya this, if they lay an egg (most especially on D) for a game like this the whole football world is going to yell 'same old Cincy'. While some will try to pin it on 'if we just had Red Rider back', there won't be any escaping the legacy of the past getting pasted to their foreheads for them to see every time they look in the mirror.
