If you think that any rape case that isn’t reported immediately is bullsh.t then you are too misogynistic to have any discussion about it. And when multiple people accuse someone of the exact same kinds of activities they are usually guilty. Not always, but usually. Bottom line, you are just a fan boy who would take anyone, no matter how reprehensible, if you thought it would help them win. That’s both sad and pathetic.
I rank the information on Yahoo right above Facebook. I'm guessing there was a clause in the Brown's contract and I'll put my money on the Patriots.Well if YAHOO says yes...
But that’s why landing with the league’s best team for modeling behavior was hopefully going to be a good thing.
Fans need to move on already for fooks sakes.Antonio Brown—
Continuing to bring us all together, one post at a time.
Let me take that back. Brown may have been put on the Exempt List by the league, since Goodell has just met with Taylor. That, or an investigation would have been ongoing and the Patriots had options for what to do with him during that time. Goodell does in fact have the authority to use the IL even if criminal charges are not brought forth...this was discussed at length in another thread. He hasn’t before, may choose not to, but doesn’t indeed have that authority.
Either way, he was released just as the league’s investigated began because of the text messages, which a vocal crowd here (not saying vocal is right) thinks is a very underwhelming reason for a knee jerk release within hours. Put another way, let’s suppose hypothetically the woman did make up things about Brown and damaged his reputation and lied to him about being desperate for money, and he responded with those texts, referencing her public Instagram photo of her kids not looking so poor and penniless. That is grounds to void a contract? Because he disobeyed “orders” from the league who are not his lawyers and should stay the F out of a non-violent civil suit in the first place?
Anyway, that’s fine that other have different opinions on this. Up until 2015, it really bothered me when the Patriots signed low character guys, even Talib. That changed when it became apparent the league is a slimy, hypocritical pile of **** with zero actual ethics or principles anyway. You don’t have to loom further than Tyreek Hill to see the Patriots have put themselves at a competitive disadvantage and weren’t forced to, and once again, Brown was apparently expected to just change his impulsive behavior in two weeks instead of realistically getting through to him over time. Brady knee he could mentor him.
If Gordon falls off the horse, this offense is in big trouble. Can think of Antonio Brown as last year’s Kevin Durant. They were just fine without him (some thought better and smoother on offense), but never take depth for granted, and he did make a big difference against the best competition. But I do love Gordon...hope he stays on track. Easy to root for the guy.
I don’t care about the Chief’s bad decisions, and like many here I was willing to go along with Belichick treating Brown’s behavior as past issues, whether they knew of them or not. Brown however had to know that he was in a position of no tolerance for continuing to act out, and his bullying text went way over that boundary. Since his release he has behaved exactly the way I said he would behave at the time of his release, he took absolutely no responsibility, showed no remorse, played the victim, and blamed and lashed out at everyone else, including those who put their reputation on the line and were willing to pay him over 10 million this season. This imo proves that he is what I said he was, a malignant narcissist, and that is one of the very worst personality disorder’s that there is. He would not have changed, as his absolute lack of remorse or inability to take any responsibility demonstrates. I’m really really glad he’s gone, now they can focus solely upon becoming the best TEAM they can. This isn’t NFL Daycare, it’s a professional team that requires professional behavior and responsibility. All of this is on Brown, period. And if they require him to acknowledge that before returning to the NFL he will never play again.
the national enquirer has more credibility than yahoo and facebook.I rank the information on Yahoo right above Facebook. I'm guessing there was a clause in the Brown's contract and I'll put my money on the Patriots.
LOL Bendover Bob was so worried about the media pressure that he pissed away $9 million and cost the team depth at the same time.
Classic.
Not a bad comparison. Short of some seriously deficient pressure awareness Stafford certainly appears to have the tools he just can't seem to get them working together efficiently on a consistent basis. Mayfield also appears to have the tools but the jury is out. Maybe he gets to the point where he settles down and realizes you can't be successful flying by the seat of your pants at this level anymore and maybe he doesn't. His 50¢ head isn't doing him any favors that's for sure.
I understand the comparison, but they are different.
Baker doesn't seem like a player who would step out of bounds on a third down run that could have been made just to avoid c0ntact, like Stafford did against the Patriots.
And Stafford is a grown up adult, something Mayfield isn't showing he is.
MODS: Please do not merge my thread into the ongoing Antonio Brown thread. This is new news, mainly about Tom Brady and his thoughts, and I cannot post in that thread.
Anyway, I'm curious, but are the people that dogpiled me for stating that I was unhappy the team cut Brown now going to condemn Brady?
Tom Brady wanted Antonio Brown to stay and was unhappy when Patriots cut receiver, per report
Pittsburgh's season is never on the line, because no one ever gets fired. The Process is The Process.Anyone remember where Antonio Brown was when Pitt’s season was on the line last year?
I’m not dismissing your thoughtful response, but do you think Belichick can make that call about being the best TEAM himself?
