If true, it’ll be interesting to hear what the “employers have no business caring about what their employees do” contingent on the board have to say. I’m also curious about what they’d do if clients/customers started pulling or threatening to pull business because of the employee.
Tone seems to have changed in here, or "the tide is turning" as they say. Are people against Brown's release now?
They didn't cut him because of media pressure.
They cut him because he sent those asinine texts on that fateful Wednesday night.
There was ample media pressure prior to Brown sending those texts and there was no move to release him; that came after the texting fiasco.
You can disagree with the decision but the notion that this was a media hatchet job, or the team bowing to media pressure, is patently false.
Text messages with pictures of the second accusers children. Are you being intentionally obtuse?
Ha. I guess that we do, on patsfans. 3 out of the 4 stories in the news ticker at the top left corner of this page are from yahoo sports.I have no clue but... Yahoo? Who the hell still uses Yahoo? Are you using Netscape and one of those free AOL trial cd’s too?
That settles it. You’ve got to be Drew Rosenhaus, trying to post anonymously.Might as well bring him back then
Still, Brown’s best card is the CBA and the collectively bargained limitations on forfeitable breaches of guaranteed money.
The grievance will take time to play out. Although the matter could be resolved through a settlement, Brown’s ill-advised decision to mock Patriots owner Robert Kraft on Twitter on Sunday doesn’t exactly serve as an olive branch for settlement talks. In fact, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports from a source that Kraft will “never” write a check to Brown after Brown’s tweets.
Kraft might not have a choice. We’ll see.
Yup, releasing AB had more to do with Kraft's own case than some stupid texts he sent.Given his personal issues, I have a suspicion releasing Brown was a PR move, likely one his legal team suggested. You know the angle prosecutors would try to frame.
Which in itself is BS, Curran reading between single spaced lines and as usual, of late, drawing an unsupportable conclusion. Some media people lose their fastball. I suspect ol Tom E didn't lose any heat off whatever little he once had but willingly surrendered it. Curran was never a breaking Pats news type but he used to be well sourced on the day to day stuff. Now he is in the 'taek' business, kinda sad.
Also agree with @IcyPatriot, hardly new or separate thread worthy info
Thank god the name comes from deflategate, for a second I thought it had to do with him liking 2 digits up his rectum while being milked like a cow on an asian spa table. His and the teams reputations are intact.Well no considering “Bendover Bob” stemmed specifically from his handling, or lack there of, of Deflategate.
Once I heard the news,,,my stomach felt sick,,so sick I didnt sleep that night.
Going 19 - 0 was halved by 50 % once AB left,,and now with our injuries I will take 12 -4 for the Season in a heartbeat.
I know I shouldn't be dreaming of an undefeated Season,,but surely all of you inside your heart dream the this dream even if you dont admit it.
With this Defense ,,the Best we have ever had for a long time having AB just lining up on Offense was scaring the whole League.
Sure Tom is sick of losing such talent ,,we dont have a similar player ,,but my question is after picking him up with the luggage he had,,,,did he do enough to be cut ?
I am far away and really hear different opinions,,,couldn't we have just say,,ok that's it ,,,one more and you are out ?
And now I hear,,we may have to pay the man anyway.
Look I am a fan and I look around other cases and in my opinion,,what AB did as a Patriot was not enough to be cut right away.
They wont say it in public,,,but many in that dressing room are sad to see him leave.. GO PATS
