You can take a flier on either one if you have the roster space, but considering the team has Woodhead and BJGE, I don't know that I would count on him for a whole lot.
 
For now, I would grab Woodhead as a #3-#5 if he is available. He is in my league. I need to see ridley or vereen active on game day and getting some carries before I pick up either of them. Neither of them are on anyone's radar, unless you are playing with Patsfans. I am not.

That being said, I am *very* curious about Ridley's health... if he is healthy, I see him getting 1st and 2nd down carries ahead of Vereen. I was super impressed by what I saw of him in preseason, and if I recall he did get some of his yards against first string players. I think Ridley has the potential to be a beast, its all in if he's healthy and how much Belichick trusts him out there. I think he's a legit sleeper, even with a healthy BJGE.
