AB toying with us again

Well, and correct me if I’m wrong Deus, but it’s weird that Zo and Fauria alluded to interest in AB, then 6 hours laterCurran and Howe say no way it’s not gonna happen. In fact, Curran said one of his sources said “what’s changed since we cut him?”.
Idk, it’ll be interesting what happens if the offense struggles again on Sunday. Brady’s comments tonight didn’t seem great about his mindset

If the Patriots win another low scoring game on Sunday without Sanu and Dorset, nothing will happen because they will be coming back soon and smart people will understand that.

Actually- Nothing will happen at One Foxboro Place. Some of THIS board however will still be blowing up about the win not looking "pretty enough".

How is it clear? AB apologized to Kraft. Why would BB address an apology made to someone other than him?

Did you watch BBs last press conference while AB was here? Do you remember how that went?

Yes and Bill wasn’t prepared for the onslaught of stupid questions at the presser. I don’t blame him.

It’s clear because if it was BB’s decision he would own it, like he does pretty much everything else. Do you recall the reporting saying Kraft intervened? Why would AB direct his wrath and then apologize to Kraft if he wasn’t the one to decide to sack AB?

The Ravens I think are 1 game behind us in the standings...losing Sundays game would be bad. Does AB give us a better chance in winning this Sunday...yes. Does Bill and Tom believe that as well? Probably. Regardless...I don’t think AB will be signed.

Hi Kontra!

.

Delusional...sure, but a whole lot more realistic than going into next season with Bailey as both the punter and placekicker.

Hey, I did ask "COULD"???? I was happy to hear the arguments against and agree with them now.

I'm not Deus, I enjoy hearing other's points and can come around to reason. I thank the folks in that thread who helped elucidate on the subject. There was some good convo there.

The "Free AB" crowd are conveniently forgetting the events and circumstances which led to his release.

In his two prior pressers BB handled AB-related questions fine. It was the 3rd presser in which BB stormed off after a couple of minutes because AB went after the artist in the group text.

Do you not think BB was pissed as hell AB didn't comply with their wishes and not curb his social media activity?

That was not "reporting" Those were rumors.

AB is going after Kraft because hes not paying him $9m.

Here is how I think it went down.
-AB threatens artist.
-BB is pissed as hell b/c AB didn't comply with team rules. Was most likely going to be inactive or play sparingly the following game
-NFL is concerned about ABs texts to the artist (this came AFTER the BB presser)
-NFL notifies Kraft/BB of their concerns
-League says it will put him on the exempt list because of the texts
-Kraft/BB asks how long that is. They don't give and answer.
-BB and Kraft discuss if its worth keeping and paying this guy $4.5m on 9/23 while on the exempt list
-BB says no
-AB cut.

For fans to say BB was strong armed in cutting BB are taking a leap.

I don't pretend to have any idea as to whether or not AB is going to be back playing with the Patriots, but Reiss isn't much of a news breaker, and we've seen the entire local media crew be ignorant and/or fooled on numerous occasions. So, for the Shmessy's of the world to be cheering over the possible lack of addition of a high level talent at a position of need is premature.

Once again to knock down yet another Deus Strawman poutpost:

1) It's not just Reiss as you claim. It's Reiss/Curran/Howe. So nice try, but no one is fooled.

2) I'm all for adding a high level talent at a position of need. One is at OL and the other is at WR. However, it cannot be a walking time bomb. It has to be a dependable human being. AB singing "I Gotta Be me" was cute and created moderate harm to the team in September - - in January or February it would be something else.

Simple as that. You may now continue to teenage poutpost your Deus emotions .......

Deus is going back to his safe space and play with his Pokemon cards...

Yes, and before that, you sounded the alarm the Chiefs would beat us, and before that the Chargers. I remember. Forgive us if your alarms are hardly alarming.

Andy Reid threw off all my calculations.

I dont recall the Chargers though. I generally do not pick teams to win when they travel coast to coast and definitely not a California team playing in frigid New England in the month of January.

This time there is no x factor to throw the numbers off.

Oh nay nay!!!!! Not until Coco Chanel and Turkey Brylcreem say so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

.

The entire AB saga spanning the two large threads here really is like a study in sociology.

God I hope this charade keeps going just for entertainment value.

If you think these two 50 page threads are “large” you should have seen the 600 page thread they moved to the other forum just to try and stop people talking about an issue very clearly relevant to the Patriots!

Biffins, if you end up being right about AB rejoining the Pats I’m going to bug you for powerball numbers for the next 5 yrs.

That’s valuable info mate. Can’t share that!!

Multiple inside sources have confirmed to multiple reporters that Kraft forced the issue and asked BB to release AB. This was reported in numerous articles. I am not going to go and find all the links. Go through that 600 page thread. Sorry but you are wrong.

That is one of the two threads I was referring to. The original AB thread that must have gone way over 500 pages and now this little sociotope.

Reiss/Curran/Howie vs Fauria/Zolak! Cage Match! I bet Zolak clotheslines Reiss into knocking him out and Fauria does a piledriver on Curran to send him to snoozeland. Then it’s Fauira + Zolak versus Howie. I’ll take F+Z for the win and the return of AB to the Pats as the prize
