I am glad it is looking like a 2028th 1st. That gives us a chance to recoup some value. Trade our 2nd round pick for a 3rd and future 2nd next year or something. Not only that. The 2027 pick will allow us to maximize the Drake window. The 2028 pick won't make much of a difference likely until the 2029 season, and by then his rookie contract will be up. Never happy to give up a first, but considering getting him for a 2nd was never on the table i understand it.

It seems imminent. One or both of the teams would be disputing the deal if it were not going to happen. I am sure they are being peppered by reporters. Especially Philly. If there was no deal they would be denying it to keep other teams in the bidding. Also if there was a chance they were not going to trade AJ they would get out in front of the news as to not upset the player one way or the other, To me the silence means it is a done deal

It's pretty doubtful he returns given that he produced statistically while coming back from a major injury, but immediately cut. I'm sure the Pats not picking up the tab of $26.5M doesn't sit well with him. He should strongly consider LA Rams if they are interested.

If he returns, that means someone is getting cut and/or would go on the practice squad.

I doubt they go get Diggs. Loved him here last year but I believe that ship has passed if the AJ deal goes through. I would rather spend his money on other positions. Plus there is only one ball to go around. AJ, Doubs and Henry getting the bulk with Williams, Hollins, Henderson and possibly Boutte in the mix.

I'm still convinced the Crosby deal fell through because the Ravens had buyers' remorse and failed him without legit reason.

Trade for Brown, extend Gonzo, make a veteran signing or two to shore up the edge position and this roster is looking very good. Only other potential problem that jumps out at me is lacking depth at guard and inside linebacker.
