Patriots Rumor A.J. Brown trade rumors heat up - Should Patriots get him?

A report indicating the Patriots are potentially in the market for this player, or have expressed or plant to express interest.
In no world is Brown worth any 1st round pick.
A true #1 who is under 30 is worth that in most worlds. Cause you know, true #1WR are available all the time for much less compensation...

And if Vrabel took your preferences under consideration, he could have skipped the entire draft because we would have already traded all of our 2026 draft picks before he even took the job.

I wonder if any of the Pats’ front office looks at this message board to gauge the pulse of the fans?

Not that we should have a vote, but it might mean something if they gauge fan interest from what they see here. They could see that this board is not overly excited at the idea of giving up high picks for Brown.

I certainly hope Vrabel didn’t hire yes men, and he will listen to any of them pushing back on him.

Vrabel obviously has a personal relationship with Brown and looks at him through Russini panty colored glasses.

I hope others can get through to him if they disagree.

I'm sure that someone has that job.

However, I don't think that the pulse of the fans has any effect on the player decisions of management, except perhaps when illegal activity is involved.

It's such a disparity when you at Maye's weapons compared to his peers weapons. Jackson Dart just came in the league and look who he has at his disposal. JJ McCarthy have Justin Jefferson - Penix Jr have Drake London - Caleb have too many weapons - Bo Nix now have Waddle. I hope all of you Experts eat your shirts when we get A.J. Brown. Vrabel knows Maye can't make chicken salad out of chicken ****: Maye ain't built like that.
I would like you to explain how Maye proved he can't make chicken salad out of chicken shut by......you know.....being one vote away from league MVP.

Imagine what Maye could do with the current receiver room if he wasn’t running for his life on every play.

That was Regular Season Drake Maye; kind of like regular season Peyton Manning for years before he won a couple. Maye's Regular Season Great: Maye's Playoffs. Remember nobody remembers the SB runner ups.

I love this thread.

Adam Shefter says it's gonna be a 1st, 90% of the posters lose their ****.

So:
a) Adam is an idiot
b) Adam is a shill
c) It's gonna be a first.

My vote is (c), but I hope I'm wrong.

If Roseman is unable to trade Brown, is there any possibility that he would cut Brown, rather than let him be a disruptive element?

So we need the guy that had 3 catches for 25 yards on 7 targets in his one playoff game this last season to save us?

Drake Maye Needs Guys who can get open Early; we Never had that. Also I don't think Doubs is a volume guy. Boutte disappears for stretches and Pop can't run a decent route to save his life. You're overrating this average group without AJ. Brown.

Maye was also injured from the wear and tear of the beating he took during the regular season.

Some of that was self-inflicted, but most was due to unnecessary hits because of substandard OL play.

Yep. I had several posters disagree with me when I said adding 2007 Randy Moss to our 2025 Super Bowl roster wouldn't have changed the outcome. Then how did the GOAT and the 2nd best WR in history manage to only put up 14 points in Super Bowl 42?

Brown is playing the way Randy Moss did before he was Traded here. Remember jogging routes going haphazard. How did that workout after the Trade?? Moss had one of the Best years of his playing life. You all are acting like Brown is 39... Davante Adams had over 1500yds at age 29 Fun Fact.

We had them, Drake and Josh just didn't utilize them.

Why, he's a good physical possession guy. He gets open, he's just not really fast. Jakobi Meyers is a volume guy.

Don't forget Kyle Williams, he has the speed to be a difference maker. Pop is great at what he does, the latter half of last season Drake and Josh started to unlock his skillset. He was the only WR in the Super Bowl who got open and caught some passes.

Bottom line this is a much better group with AJ Brown. He's big, physical, athletic and experienced. They'd be better with a healthy Brown than without him. I like Boutte, great story... but if the Eagles want him, so be it. We don't even know if they do at this point, they brought a lot of rookie WR's in.

Would Davanate Adam's have been worth at 2026 1st round pick to the Rams? They still wouldn't have won a Super Bowl, and they would still need CB help right now.

Logan Mankins and our OL getting owned by Strahan and that Giants Defense... $h!t happens.

Welll……

The Rams DID use their 2026 on Ty Simpson.

Get this through your Head; Maye is not and will Never be like Tom Brady on the Playing Field. Maye Cannot Win the Big one without actual Talent! Drake Maye needs that Diva WR and that RB to get it Done.

You were one of the people that disagreed with me about 2007 Moss making a difference last season. In what reality was our OL doing a better job last year than in 2007?
