For the upcoming film about Brady and this Super Bowl, it'd be easy to only focus on Deflategate/Defamegate and Brady's journey against the forces of darkness. However, let's not forget some of the other great Revenge Tour moments this season:

* shocking the world by defeating the Cardinals -- a Super Bowl contender at that point -- with a backup in a complete nail-biter
* shocking the world by blowing out the Texans with a third stringer
* trading a Pro Bowl talent, but ultimately selfish player in Jamie Collins thus restating that the Patriot way sometimes includes tough choices
* a moment of humility in being defeated by the Seahawks who were still salty about their loss to us in the Super Bowl
* beating the Broncos with defense, the team that sent us packing the prior season twice with their defense
* beating Rex Ryan in probably his last game against the Pats as an NFL head coach
* silencing the Steelers who always find a way to complain about headset malfunction or being out-coached after every game. Oh, and beating Big Ben who always has a sprained tear duct that might keep him from playing ever again.

The Super Bowl is a great game, but there isn't really much drama with the Falcons as a franchise. All of the above can add a little fuel to the narrative if need be! : )

The Pats played the Bills for the second time on October 30, 2016. Rex was fired December 27, 2016. What are you talking about?

I think he meant the last game Rexy coached that he actually cared about.

I get a kick out of the overexagerating the importance of Rex Ryan.
People talk like he is a rival. When really he was a clown that BB ***** slapped around for a few years.

The Red Sox and Yankees are rivals despite the Yankees ***** slapping the Sox around for the better part of the 20th century (same goes for the Cubs and Cardinals and the Bruins and Habs).

I phrased it wrong: I meant to say in his last game against the Pats and Belichick as a head coach. That will teach me to proof.

Rex is like a bad penny. He just keeps showing up, even after you figuratively toss him down the storm drain, run over him with a cement mixer, and tickle his toes with a scorpion. He really liked the last part, btw...

2010's divisional playoff game is calling. That win must have put Rexy on cloud 9.

So the browns can point to their one win and call themselves competitive?

The Red Sox and Yankees were only a rivalry in the Red Sox eyes until the Sox started being legitimate competition.
A hammer doesn't consider a nail competition.

No of course not but that was the biggest game with the most implications between the Rex Ryan led Jets and BB's Pats. And the ****in Jets actually won.

To be fair Rex always or most of the time, his teams played the Pats competitively.

Why is pointing out that some of his losses were close "being fair".
He was a loud mouth who couldn't back it up and had a terrible record against BB.
The post I referred to spoke as if it was a signature win. It was not it was a beating of a guy BB is accustomed to beating.

Exactly. Vanquishing Rex one last time had to feel good, even if it is like scraping a bit of gum off your shoe. Gum that probably would have fallen off on its own the next day or two, but you really just wanted to show who's boss.
