PATRIOTS TRAINING CAMP 2026 Patriots Training Camp - Day 21

Oh I don't think we're ready for that one yet. Too many holes to fill behind the projected starters.
Seattle had some key losses in the off-season.
I would say they are a little worse on paper, and we are better.
Assuming health going into that game, I really like our chances.

You made me look at this guy’s feed. I wish I hadn’t.

Seriously??? What is wrong with people?!

This is an impressive level of...something...

He gets paid by a sports radio station for this.

Fair…but that was an ass-whipping they gave us in the SB.

Josh had no answers for that defense largely because they pressured the hell out of drake, and no one could get open fast enough.

We’ll see if either of those factors have really changed.

It’s also a brutal stadium to play in.

I met a rabid Seahawks fan recently. They believe the RB position is plug and play. That's some high quality delusion. They will for sure miss K. Walker.

We shall see.
I don't think Price picks up where KW left off, there should be some initial drops-off for sure.
Losing Mafe and Bryant won't help either.
Obv our Oline was the story of that game. D played well enough, but out Oline gave us no chance.
Line is should better, and we have much better weapons should the Hawks go blitz happy again.
Maybe I'm delusional, but I expect a win.
I wouldn't be surprised if we win by 10 or more.
I'm usually pretty objective picking the Pats, and maybe I'm way off here.

See my post above.
Oline will be the key, and I do not think Hawks can play the same bltiz happy D this time around with our new weapons.

Walker is a stud. Everyone thinks RB is “plug and play “ until ****ing Mike Cloud or Lawrence Maroney is back there.

Speak for yourself.
fair enough

I said "many". I didn't think I needed a poll.

So, if Lomu is a better LT and RT than Bryant, would YOU want to have Bryant active?

Maybe Bryant will be better at both, so your concern about an additional OT can be satisfied.

Lomu may be more talented, but he’s a rookie acknowledged to be rough and needing development, while Bryant already has a year as an NFL pro.
If Bryant is better at both, then Lomu should be inactive.

Could be.
Could be like Stafford last year who had like 100 passing tds from 2 yds or less. And yes, more longer TDs could most certainly be in play.
On the other side, less 8 man boxes could mean a lot more rushing TDs.
As long as we score lots of points I don't care how we get them.
But we definitely need to improve our short yardage running, getting the tough yards when it's an obvious short yardage running situation.
We were terrible at that last year.
Thats because we'd run rham wide and Henderson up the gut. When those obviously failed, McD woukd spread it out. Its a habit of his. See: Indy AFCG. Gronk/Dev were killing their edge on off tackle runs between the 20s. Thats how they moved the ball. Then they'd hit the RZ, bring on Hooman, try to throw and kill the drive. Its my major gripe with McD. He seems to hate the run game like the Ryan family hates offense.

So, you’re talking about next year?

Wk 1 expectation is optimistic because:
OL is vastly upgraded since SB - offseason growth of Will & Wilson, added AVT, full health.
Offensive weapons upgraded - AJ, Doubs, Hendo 2nd year, Raridon athleticism > Hooper, Maye understanding protections
Front 7 may be even - (this is the weakness vs. SEA)
DB's slightly upgraded - Byard > Hawkins, Woodson 2nd year

Pats may still lose, but it'll be close, and I think our Offense will surprise them. 27-31 type of game.
