2025 LT

So you are a Campbell or bust guy?
I am not, but I see more upside in his football character than I do downside in arm length. I really am trusting Vrabel to get the right guy for them. The play is really trade back and get a pick, but I believe they'll get low balled in offers and be forced to take someone at #4 they could get 6-8. So if they stick and pick, and they don't take Campbell, then to me that means that they are confident that Trapilo can do the job, but they may have to overdraft him to get him. Ideally, they'd drop to 7 with the Jete, get Campbell there, get a WR at #38 and then Trapilo at #44. That still leaves them #69 and #77 to get some good contributors. I know I am putting a lot of confidence that they know Trapilo is a LT in the NFL. There's no noise about it, which makes me think the ******** Season is in full effect. They'll certainly have great intel on Trapilo, better than any other player in the draft perhaps, between Scar working with him and the relationship with Billy O. I would not be shocked if they took him in R2.

They've revamped the roster as much as they could since taking over, and I really think they'll do the right thing for the franchise, even if us experts don't like the move.

Well I trust nobody lol and they kept Wolf on for a reason. I have no idea why lol but I don't trust his ability to address anything honestly. A blind kid could've picked Drake. So the jury is out. I'm expecting them to take Campbell because nobody is trading up. Whether they feel confident in him or not will be proven by what they do beyond round 1.

I think the Krafts like him. He's reportedly a "good dude" and I think they are loyal. I think he's a figurehead, Vrabel has the authority with his guys. Veto power, if it gets to that. I don't think it will, because Wolf and his family are here and it'll be easier to go along and get along than it will be to get a new job and move. Whether or not there's a title attached to his name is pointless IMO. The buck stops with Vrabel.

I will continue to beat the drum that LT is going to be over drafted and the top 6 guys could conceivably be gone at #38. I haven't seen Grant that high but it's not out of the realm of reality. Campbell, Banks, Simmons, Ersery, Conerly and Membou seem to be the top ranked OT players. Now you're into guys playing OT projecting guard all the way: Zabel, Mbow, Milum, Savainaea and the like. I don't find it a stretch to see Grant, Trapilo and even later guys like Belton, Pierce or Jones moving up draft boards. Certainly, to your point, there could be 12 or more guys listed as college OTs picked before pick 100. That doesn't even take into consideration guys like Tate Rateledge who are top end guards going early on day 3, and I am leaving out probably a handful of OTs as well.
I agree. QBs and LTs seem to be picked higher than people expect, and I think that this trend will increase with the Chief's OL collapse in the SB. We will see. Ersery might be gone before 38, and Trapilo will be gone in R2 in my opinion. The Pats do not have young tackles because they have not picked tackles early and often. I am a BPA guy, and we might have to break that rule to pick a couple of young tackles.

They've got time invested in Conerly too, so he might their guy if they are looking to trade out of the top 10. They could drop to 11 with the Niners and pick up #43 and #75, then go over-draft Conerly at #11, But now you load up on guys where the strength of the draft is: #38, #43, #69 and #77. Or you could parley some of those and get back into R1 and take BPA at #11 and then get your LT later in the round. It's just gonna depend on who they really believe in and how they can move around the board to accomplish it.

Be interesting to see if they can find a trade back at all. It's not as certain as the simulations make it.

Also, will they trade Bourne and/or Stephenson or later in the year?

Albert Breer says Josh Simmons' medical re-check was "a little bit sketchy" and says Membou lacks maturity. nothing bad, just that he might need time to adjust to playing professionally.

Interesting for sure, regarding Simmons.

Every team is going to have a different opinion of medicals, and of course, this is the time for misdirection. Just a week away from finding out.

I hope he also mentioned Stumpy's HISTORICALLY short wingspan.

This Dukie Whoever, is a ****ing Idiot.
Tell that to the prospects and pros that hire him.

Campbell and Membou are two of his clients.

You can certainly question his motives on guys hes worked with, and guys he hasn't. But when it's two people he's worked with, I think his opinion is valid.

I'm with you on this, bud. There's no guarantee they can just drop to where ever the sims say.

I was reading about Esa Pole and he was a standout basketball player in high school but then commited to play college football despite never playing. He played at a community college for 2 years and then transferred Wash st.
