I'm pretty clueless when it comes to evaluating OL so have no idea.
Nice to see you again.
Not retired yet.
I've watched (i do at least 3-5 games of A22 for 99% of prospects) a little under a 100 prospects so far. Most likely not doing many more (I'm hoping to grade 125-150 guys this year). I'll post a few stickys by the end of this next week with some thoughts. Looking like 5-8 first round grades though in a weak class.
It worked very well last season with Taliese Fuaga wearing the gold of the Saints.I don’t see any reason why RT Membou can’t switch [to LT]. He’s certainly athletic and long enough.
I hoped we could get Fuaga last year. He not only looked like the best OT, but he also looked like the nastiest Lineman in the draft. It worked very well last season with Taliese Fuaga wearing the gold of the Saints.
They shifted him to LT on overloaded sweep plays occasionally. Just never seen him do it pass pro.I don’t see any reason why he can’t switch. He’s certainly athletic and long enough. There may be growing pains in year one but that will happen with ant LT we draft. And if it doesn’t work, we haven’t really lost anything other than a year.
Keon White had no contactDante met with Joe Thuney at NC State’s pro day without anyone knowing. Just sayin.
This Pole fella looks like a wonderful late round addition as a LT backup. Chreest, his stats as a performer make it seem as though he should go much higher. What’s his name? Asa Pole? Esa Poole? Something like that.
JC Latham also made the switch and did relatively well. I like Membou a lot and think he can make the switch to LTIt worked very well last season with Taliese Fuaga wearing the gold of the Saints.
What he said at the end is what everyone here should subscribe to.
“…..doesn’t matter if you have Randy Moss if you can’t block anybody”
They didn’t really ignore it. They drafted like 6 guys past two drafts and traded for a couple. Not getting above average talent for OT spots has done them in. Trading Shaq and not re-upping Thuney cost as well. I can see Onwenu being a cheaper replacement for Mason at the time but he showed at that time he could play RT as well. It just happened this way like never before.Yeah so why have they ignored it for so long.
They got laughed at for selecting Strange. Okafor was a bum. Onwenu came in overweight. And yeah they let go of their best guard. They didn’t really ignore it. Maybe Membou can. You never know until it's tried. But, we were told Wallace could make the move too. The only reason he played RT was because of Fashanu.JC Latham also made the switch and did relatively well. I like Membou a lot and think he can make the switch to LT
Again. And again.Onwenu came in overweight
Thanks for posting that. Unfortunately nothing new in the article that we have not already discussed on PatsFans. The question is Ersery or Trapilo or Grant going to surprise? Grant seems too raw to me. It is hard for me to believe that Ersery or Trapilo would be worse than Lowe.Perry: Best draft fits for Patriots at offensive tackle
