2025 Draft: RBs

I'm all for it. Hoping it's him or Burden. Might lean Henderson because Im on the Horton train in Round 3. Many of the explosive backs later aren't as polished or pro ready as Henderson.

Hes got the size to be an every down back. I know there are some durability concerns but hes not just a James White type. He could be the lead back and 3rd down back, with Rhamondre the secondary guy.

Henderson and hopefully a focused Rhamondre is a helluva tandem in the backfield.
I'd still like Brashard on Day 3 if possible. Burden fits his name.

Eh, i don't think his issues are that bad. He just needs to mature and not let mom or relatives dictate things. It's quite possible it's a huge overreaction. Of course it's possible he can never leave and grow up, living up to his name.

Brashard Smith is someone i really like. I'd take him even if we took Henderson. Love the explosion and receiving skills. He adapted as a rusher pretty quick, but specifically in a passing down role, he's going to have a ton of work ahead in pass pro. I dont think you'll be able to trust him in that role as a rookie. Scheme up some touches, maybe some special teams work while he develops. He was one of the later guys that need work i was referring to.

because Im on the Horton train in Round 3.

You guys are derailing this thread's train lol

For me Henderson is only the pick assuming all 3 edge studs are off the board at 38 which is highly unlikely.

I've still got my ticket for the Damien Martinez in round 3 train.

You know how I feel about Martinez. I'm just not sure he's what the team is looking for. I think they are rolling with Rhamodre and looking for a complimentary back.

We could've also had Martinez as late as 220. But Nooooooooo.........

Those last 4 ****ing picks... When there were Real Football Players still available... Please help me 8-pound 6-ounce Baby Jesus...

Looking at that film again, he goes forward more than any back I can recall. Filling a gap, seeing a free rusher and going to meet them. It's not wild aggression at all. Too often backs are just too passive.

Connor Rogers calls Penn State's Kaytron Allen a "younger Rhamondre". I've yet to study him but I have liked that he's one of the few in this class with pro-size. Spped is his issue but when you see the success Kyle Monangai is having in Chicago, speed for a RB is a 'nice to have', not a must have.

Does he fumble a lot?
He does have the best pass blocking grade amongst RBs considered draftable which is interesting, up there with LeQuint Allen from last year who was the best.

As an aside, I was surprised not to see Treveyon among the better graded pass blockers considering the twitter scouts were very bullish on his pass blocking. He actually had a very poor PB grade from PFF which surprised me. considering his difficulties at that this year, maybe PFF shouldn't be so quickly dismissed.

I'm exhausted just watching his highlights.
It's partly the Nebraska thing but he reminds me of Ameer Abdullah but with more jukability. I loved Abdullah at the time and am still surprised he didn't make it big in the NFL although I'm glad he's still in the NFL 10 years on.
