Unfortunately, other than Maye who dropped into his lap, Wolf hasn't made it any better.
I agree. People should be screaming to fire Wolf well before Mayo. Wolf has been around for awhile. This was his big chance to be GM without Bill Belichick being the lord of the team and getting the biggest say. Aside from Maye, who frankly was the only pick to make at 3, he did next to nothing else.

They need a high end GM that will aggressively get talent and manage the roster.

We have the 4th overall pick in the 2025 draft as of today.

Embarrassing. The team will pick somewhere in the top 10, but by all means keep reporting how many breaths the corpse heaves prior to burial.

I believe that a head coach should avoid making comments that could be perceived as disrespectful or dismissive of players.

Fire him.
This is my overview of Mayo:

It starts with me. We (cliche) we aren’t (cliche) we need to (cliche). Then some version off it’s not my fault it’s the players.

The Panthers I'd argue are a better team right now and that's not saying much. We are an undisciplined, untalented team with the 3rd overall pick. I can guarantee you a good portion of the players you see now won't be here next season.
I hope 2/3 of them are gone / replaced.

“You’re either coaching it or allowing it to happen.”

It is clear to many that Mayo was not and is not ready to be a head coach. The question now is will he ever be ready and, if so, when? For me the answer would have to be by next season. At a minimum, assistants need to be replaced sooner rather than later. If Mayo cannot identify the problem and propose solutions, then he should go too. That discussion should happen now.
If Mayo had been a successful HC (or even coordinator) elsewhere, this debate would be different. Still, perhaps it wouldn't, because of what we've seen: undisciplined play, strategic and tactical failures, bizarre quotes that question his connection to reality, and more.

If we were seeing a talent poor team that was still playing hard, disciplined football, and a coaching staff making solid strategic and tactical decisions that maximized the talent they had -- even if they were losing just as much -- our outlook would be 180 degrees.

The chances that Mayo figures things out enough so that we go from total disaster to a competitive, disciplined team in 2025 are not good. This is the NFL. Let's go out and get a coach who can bring that next year.

Then why hasn't he learned it? He still doesn't know how to make all the calls...
It's possible.. 90 men can be on the roster until cut down day. I'm safely assuming at least 8-10 players won't be here next season. So between drafted, FA, possible trade acquisition I can say at least 10- 14 new players.
3 new OL at least
2 LBs, 2 DE, 2DTs, 3WRs, 2 CBs

Players I believe won't be here:
Jordan, Benny brown, Daniel equale, (peppers unfortunately)
There are numerous players who at best belong on the practice squad, some are starting

Let's be real, there's like 4 or 5 guys I feel like they should keep. Maye, Henry, White, Gonzalez... idk.

After Maye and Henry there's a real chance freaking Gibson is the next best player on offense.

If they get a new OC, they might as well release Milton because he still hasn't learned the whole AVP offense.
Not release ….Trade in April or before! He has a lot of potential..

Agree that GM Bill ran the team into the ground, but other than Maye, this crew hasn't done anything to reverse this.
The most bizarre thing about it is Wolf or whoever is in charge re-signed some of Bill's draft picks to very significant contracts.

A losing team doesn't retain a guy like Owenu or even Dugger who neither have even been in the conversation of being among the best being voted as All Pro or even the Pro Bowl. Barmore was too early of a signing when he only had one good season in 2023. The gamble would've worked in the Pats favor and could've gotten him a lot cheaper going forward. Signing Rham was another idiotic move. The message sent to the locker room is a bad one rewarding players on a losing team. With these transactions, they are still sitting at 3 wins after 12 games.

The good news is that they are not cap crippling signings and Dugger, Owenu and Rham will have manageable dead cap hits starting in 2026.

I agree. But you can’t realistically turn over that amount of players in one offseason.

I’m just hoping the drafting improves and that a few FAs want to play with Maye.

Your arguement is the players you mentioned are the reason they lost so they shouldn't have signed them.

They are assets. If they had hit FA they would have been signed for what the NEP paid.

Stevenson had 120 in the opener. Since that game the Patriots have not had a 100 game from a back or wide receiver. Hunter Henry has 109 vs Seattle, the teams only other 100 game. This TEAM IS ****ING AWFUL

It's the same mistake they made when they brought in Carrol after Parcells. The nice guy after the mean one. The difference Carrol was a great college HC with a resume.
Pete’s great college career happened after he was fired by the Pats.

Tua tore us apart. We tend to play worse in Miami. Didn't think it would be this bad.

What a difference a WR makes. Waddle is a beast.
And waddle has been invisible all season….amazing how the Pats can revitalize a guys career…..we’ve done it for countless backup QBs over the years
