Despite the weather, Zappe is at least getting the ball to open receivers. They're not catching the ball all the time, but at least the play is there to be made. Mac wasn't, but the narrative was that he somehow sucked because his receivers were bad. Didn't make sense to me how bad receivers would cause him to have terrible pocket presence and be unable to go through his reads or throw a good ball. With Zappe, we can at least say today is more on his receivers than him.

I agree with this. Zappe is playing better than Mac in his present state. Credit where credit is due.
