In all seriousness, Purdy's performance this season has been an indictment of Jimmy G Spot. Maybe Jimmy would have been as good with the McCaffrey addition, but Purdy seems to run the offense better.

If they end up a SB team, does Trey Lance ever play for SF again?

Yeah there's obviously no way they can go with anyone except Purdy next year. So then what do you do with Lance... trade him? But what would you even get for him, a 2nd? A 3rd? When you traded a mega-bounty for him and got nothing out of him? SF will survive it but yeah that was a huge blunder.

It's the offense Purdy is just a guy, every QB looks competent that puddle Matt Ryan was the MVP in this offense.

That's why Bill wanted to change to this offense in camp, he just should of went with it and got in some Shanahan guys in instead of his buddies.

Purdys arm isn’t the strongest but it’s stronger than Macs.
He’s more mobile, they got a more physically Gifted QB in the 7th then we did in the first.
However Purdy is a jag without these weapons and coaching.
I think Mac has a better football mind but the damage we caused may be irreparable.

I don't know what good holding him hostage would be, though. Any team interested in him wants him on his rookie deal to try to take advantage of a hopefully talented player and get a good feel for him before he needs a 2nd contract. If they sit on him til he's due for his 5th year option or something, they'll have a hard time finding a dance partner, especially if he still hasn't played.

You're talking about a team that paid Jimmy a ton of money for really two years for no reason, and it was by accident that he was there at the end for them last year, just like it was just by injury that he played this year. Logic and reason seems to go out the window with that group, again, at least based on history. They seem to think they have leverage where they just don't and somehow seem to believe they're smarter than everyone else.
