starting with Pats cuts only . adding some league cuts later

RB -- Brosette
FB/LB -- Johnson
WR -- 2 of Berrios, R.Davis, D.Patterson (assuming Olszewski makes the 53 - here or elsewhere)
TE -- Anderson
OL -- (Gauthier, Croston, St.Luis)
DT -- Kamalu* (Parry)
LB -- Munson* (Scooby)
S -- Gant
CB -- Crossen*

* - means i wouldn't mind having these guys on 53 but they seem to be odd men out on loaded positions -- unless Pats trade away someone like Hoyer, Burkhead, Wise, JJ, Ebner..

My ideal PS not counting players from other teams (there are always some): Meyers*, Howard, Sam, Trent Harris, Jakob Johnson, Webster, Munson*, Kamalu*, Rivers*, Parry.

* means they could end up on the 53 but weren't on my last one.

Here's mine:
FB/LB (1) - Johnson
OL (2) - Gauthier, St. Louis (Skipper, Croston)
WR(1) - Olszewski
TE (1) - Anderson (Beck)
DE (1) - Rivers (Calhoun, Harris)
DT (1) - Parry (Kamalu)
LB (2) - Sam, Munson (Hall)
S (1) - Gant
CB (1) - Webster

I expect 10 total OL between the 53 man roster and the PS so they can run a full scout team line separate from the starting line.
Don't think we need 2 PS receivers, especially if we have 5-6 on the 53 man roster
I have Meyers and Crossen on the roster.

Rivers will be interesting case since he is injured (hence no PS).

1. Did he show enough in TC to make room for him on initial 53 (risking initially cutting one of the possible contributers) in order to have him back for the second part of the season like last year ?

2. Does this makes sense on a loaded position transitioning to more of 3-3, 3-4 fronts with additions of Collins, Winovich etc.?

Id like to have him back but id be hard pressed to make room on initial 53 this time. Never thought the league (incl. MP, Flores) would think so little of him to let him unclaimed. So if IR-ed and waived injured Id guess some other team would jump (since pats have to wait longer before they could re-sign him..)

If he's injured but they want him on the practice squad, they won't injury settlement him. They would just IR him then release him when he's healthy - at that point they could sign him to PS if he goes unclaimed.

Takes two to tango. Usually this is not how it works.
Also i doubt healthy Rivers would go unclaimed..

I think Jakob has an exemption from Europe so if you keep him you can have 11 guys.

Well, yes if you want to keep a player on your team, he needs a spot on the 53 man roster.

If you have an injured player at the end of camp that you would like on the PS, the better path is to release him when he's healthy instead of waiving him with an injury settlement (since in that case you're 6 weeks behind all the other teams). The only thing the player needs to agree to is when accepting the PS offer, which is the same if the team went the injury settlement approach. Both of these cases are unusual. Most of the time, the team will keep just keep the player on IR if they really want to keep him around.
