2017 NFL Combine Thread

But whats the point if the circumstances around those throws are completely artificial?

I am pretty sure NFL teams get all the tape they need on QB prospects to properly evaluate most aspects of their game.

If I was an NFL team, I'd use every possibility to evaluate a potential franchise QB. Of course tape is the most important eval but if I want to judge Watson against Kizer, seeing them perform the same throws will be a useful eval.

Jordan Willis, who we met with, had a 39" vertical jump.

I completely agree with Willie McGinest that Charles Harris looks the smoothest of all the DL in the drills. Possible (likely?) 1st rounder

Haason Reddick 11'1 broad jump.

Lawson can't catch the ball but I've been impressed with his movement skills.

I wouldn't hesitate taking him at 32, I'm just not sure he'll be there. As fans it's easy for us to just dream on the potential of these guys. When you have millions of dollars and jobs on the line though you have to much more strongly consider the likelihood of players reaching that potential. I think Anderson is the safest edge player in this draft even if he doesn't have the upside of some of the other guys.

Reddick sure is earning himself some money today.

Jordan Willis is one explosive dude.

I'm not sure how that is even physically possible. That's like a Lebron James vertical when you account for size.

It's fun following the draft forum and remembering when he was a 2nd-3rd round steal. He could be drafted over Foster.

What do people think about Jordan Willis as a linebacker? Bit too linear for an EDGE player?

Just had a simulcam of Reddick beating Mike Evans, Leveon Bell and Antonio Brown. Easy to see the value he represents for a defensive co-ordinator when he's faster than three of the premier offensive players in the NFL.

I'm not really liking these social media segments while position drills are ongoing.

Just want to point out that Tarrell Basham, at 30lbs heavier, was only .01 slower than Reddick on the 10 yard split. And that's not meant to be a knock on Reddick.
Depending on free agency and the first 31 picks, I would not be opposed, at all,
to see Basham taken at 32, because I no longer think that he'll last to 64.
