2017 NFL Combine Thread

Nazir Jones is another guy I really like. Underrated interior guy.

Ledbetter is fun to watch on tape. Good explosion. Could be an inside/outside kind of candidate.

4.73 at 290lbs for tanoh? Don't do me like that.

Crushed dreams incoming

That's the expected time for Basham! He just had a bad start for the first one, is my guess.

Basham with a 1.61 10 yard on his second run. Nice.

Carl Lawson just ran a really good time. 1.60 10 yard.

Give me Hendrickson and Ryan Anderson to solidify our edge and I'll be a happy man

Seems a little undersized to me. Having said that, Carl Lawson as a future Nink replacement works for me. Lawson at LDE and Basham at RDE.

Love Lawson's talent, just worried about his health. There were times in 2015 he looked like a top 5 talent and a guy that could potentially challenge Myles Garrett as the best pass rusher in college football. I think he had a bit of a down year last season which could make him great value.

Deshaun Watson was supposed to have looked very good yesterday in passing drills. I wonder if we'll see him in the AFC East next year. I can see him going to the Jets or Bills. Trubisky will probably go top 3 and Kizer didn't look that impressive.

Trubisky in the top 3, Watson to Jets or Bills, Kizer to the Cardinals?

Not a dig at you Manx but is there really anyone who gives any relevance to the QB passing drills at the combine?

I feel like especially with QBs the college tape gives you all you need to know.

The combine is the one place you can compare like for like throws from each QB.

DJ Jones' athleticism is impressing me for a NT type.

For someone as explosive and athletic as Myles Garrett is, he sure looks awkward in his movement. Can't argue with the results though, guy is a stud

I saw that too. I thought his 40 looked really strange, his running style was like a mix between stumbling and some weird cadence where he had to reset after like 5 steps. His intensity is really good though.

But whats the point if the circumstances around those throws are completely artificial?

I am pretty sure NFL teams get all the tape they need on QB prospects to properly evaluate most aspects of their game.
