When it comes to the draft, we're all polyamorus.
Lol so many players I just love this year. More than in any other year

I currently like Eddie Jackson as a replacement for Harmon, but I think Atlanta will take him before us to try to get their Earl Thomas on the cheap.
A player that I like what I've seen so far is Marcus Williams FS Utah. There is only one full game of tape, and a bunch of short clips on youtube. But he plays a true center field role, and always seems to be close to the ball on deep passes. Great range. He also breaks really well on the ball, and has decent ball skills. I look forward to getting more game tape to watch of his.
I think bb would take peppers at #32 in a heartbeat. In bb's scheme most defenders play two positions. for peppers that is par for the course. Bb would make him a great player for us. Kind of a better version of Roman phifer.
I like Eddie Jackson a ton. He seems like the perfect Patriots safety. I don't know if he has the instincts of Baker, but he's still a very solid player. I expect Harmon to leave in free agency to get a starting gig (he's earned it), but Jackson would represent an upgrade in my opinion.
Melifonwu is really intriguing as a tweener. I'm not sold on Harvey-Clemons, but I need to watch more film. I've only had limited exposure to his game.
Today was the deadline to declare. Here's the unofficial early entry list. Many of these players will end up in the first three rounds. I see several names who will probably go undrafted, however. Tough break for them.
Unofficial underclassmen early entry list for 2017 NFL Draft
The going stat on undergrads going undrafted is around 29%. That's a tough number when the amount of guys declaring keeps going up.
Interesting late round UDFA prospect who has baggage.
Al Quadin Muhammad DE/OLB (previously Miami)
He was kicked out of UM because of NCAA violations where he received free luxury rental cars from a Miami Car rental company. Also punched a fellow student while at Miami and was suspend.
In 2015, PFF had him ranked as the 3rd edge rusher in the ACC.
DS has him listed as 6'3 250 with a projected 40 time in the 4.6 - 4.7 range (I think his tape confirms this)
Looks extremely athletic and has great change of direction and speed. His build and movement somewhat remind me of Collins. Plays a mix of stand up and with his hand in the dirt and seems to have excellent burst of the line. Also has long arms, again his build reminds me of Collins.
Not much tape on him, but he seems interesting for a late flyer. Im sure bill could find a way to use him. Also reminds me a little of Mingo, so he could replace him if needed.
Just trying to do a little late round research. Always easiest to start with the troubled ones.
Just a little question: Would you take O.J. Howard if he's there at 32 or would you still go Defense?
Every year there's guys that drop just make you wonder, why?
Overshadowed by bigger names at the position, Willis has quietly put together a ridiculously productive year and leads all edge defenders with his 94.6 overall grade. He currently has the third most total pressures in the country at 68 and ranks 13th with his 13.2 pass rushing productivity rating. Not only does Willis lead the nation in pass-rush grade, but he also has the second-best grade against the run making him possibly the most balanced edge defender in the country. Willis should put up a strong performance to finish the year against TCU this weekend as right tackle Aviante Collins has surrendered 23 total pressures this season.
PFF
Willis looks like a long time pro, maybe in the mold of Ninko or even Vrabel. Maybe not a 15 sack type player but someone who can play every down for a look time. He should fill in enough to play LDE.

Myles Garrett built like Julius Peppers, quiet in bowl loss
"I've already written up a scouting report for Kansas State DE Jordan Willis and put an early draft grade on him, but one of the things I had a hard time getting a feel for off of the tape was Willis' size. During warm-ups, I was able to tell he had better length than I expected and a really good build. Scouts told me he has the type of frame that should be able to get even bigger. Willis played in this game the same way he plays on tape -- all effort, all the time. He drew a couple of penalties for being offsides, which is indicative of his desire to race into the backfield at all times. Willis' motor and change-of-direction ability had him pressuring Aggies QB Trevor Knight on a few occasions, including a tackle for a loss that I thought should have been counted as a sack. Willis is likely to be viewed by NFL teams as an outside linebacker prospect and he could go inside the top three rounds."
