One of our message board posters came across this clip from 1992 of Former NFL coach John Madden talking about the practice of coaches stealing opponents’ signals. People seem to think this brilliant and illicit tactic was developed and masterminded by Bill Belichick, but it was a much more popular practice than many seem to realize:
