2017 Draft Prospect Thread

I have Seen Peppers dropping down a lot of boards, and some even have us possibly picking him up?

Would you like to see him in a pats shirt?

If we didn't have Chung then yes. Hard to see how he gets on the field otherwise.

Yes. I'm a believer in Peppers. He might not be a top 5 prospect, but he's talented and athletic. At the very least he takes a roster spot from immortal Jordan Richards. ;) It's hard to see him gaining a ton of playing time with Chung healthy, though. I don't think he's quite big enough to stay at linebacker.

Thanks, new to this whole draft looking into it properly, hard to find some information in the UK!

I just think if he's there, we should have a real good look at him. I think we could fit him into so many different looks with the Defensive scheme, hes undersized for a linebacker, but i could see him possibly be used as that Miller type role, hes just one of those impact players, that can produce the magic when its needed, also takes games away from the opposition, as a defensive player and hes a pretty good returner as well.

I'd love to see him have a poor combine or something, so he falls heavy, and possibly snatch him up, he is one player i can see making an impact wherever a team decides to put him. Just screams playermaker out to me

He's a great prospect. If your not intrigued by him somethings wrong.

However his versatility or athleticism, w/e you want to call it. Worked against him in college. That won't happen in rhe NFL.

He looks like a fantastic possible SS.

I think Peppers will need some time to adjust to the NFL game tho.

Re Engram:

If we re-signed Marty B and Michael Floyd, would you still draft Engram? I suppose if they're one year deals because drafted receivers in this offense are borderline redshirt years anyway. But if those two re-sign, there's a lot of receiving options on this offense and not much scope to add more, even if Amendola leaves.

Absolutely. In fact if we resign both I wouldn't think twice in taking Engram if he's available in the right round. The amount of different ways BB could use the Marty, gronk, and engram would be a complete headache for other teams to have to deal with. Especially when we use the three TE set because then you have three players who are a legitimate threat to block or go out and catch a pass without sacrificing much because let's face it gronk is an animal, Marty will burn most DBs but Lengel isn't much of a threat. But again that might be me just trying to get more members on the engram bandwagon.

Anyone check out Anthony Walker, LB for Northwestern? Very intriguing pick. I think there might be more pressing needs at this point in the draft (he's mainly projected in the 2nd - early 3rd range), but depending on what they access in free agency/what they get in a potential Jimmy G trade, could be a thought. Guess it might boil down to being a luxury/BPA pick.

Been tabbed as an ILB, but I see him as more better suited more on the outside. Seems he'd be a solid compliment next to Hightower, and could be a three-down LB. Great against the run, solid in pass coverage, and from all accounts a very smart player and good character guy.

I'm exhausted from staying up until 2am following Pats coverage and aftermath of the game, but I'll give more of a rundown if my brain begins to function more through the day. :D

Add in the age of some of our guys, their injury history, Engram's skill set and character and hes a perfect fit.

Not many guys are a better fit for us imo.

I'd like him to drop weight some. He just didn't look the same this year after gaining it.

He could do push ups at age 2.

Yeah don't always understand the logic of having guys put on weight simply to reach some ideal target number/match the perception of what someone at a given position should be. I'd rather have a LB at 230 who is more natural and comfortable at that weight, than have them gain 15-20lbs and have it impact their play.

Agreed. He's def been on my radar but this past year kinda dampened things a bit.
He looked like he was gunna be a force in 2015 which made the weight gain that much more confusing. Seemed like a perfect fit for backer in todays game.

Humphrey, Cam and Stewart all in

Totally OT, but my binkie last year was Terrance smith from fsu.

I thought he was a 3/4th rounder, but ended up going udfa.

And now, he's starting for the chiefs in the last divisional game.

All that to say, a player being drafted or not drafted doesn't matter. Trust your eyes.

I currently like Eddie Jackson as a replacement for Harmon, but I think Atlanta will take him before us to try to get their Earl Thomas on the cheap.

A player that I like what I've seen so far is Marcus Williams FS Utah. There is only one full game of tape, and a bunch of short clips on youtube. But he plays a true center field role, and always seems to be close to the ball on deep passes. Great range. He also breaks really well on the ball, and has decent ball skills. I look forward to getting more game tape to watch of his.

I think bb would take peppers at #32 in a heartbeat. In bb's scheme most defenders play two positions. for peppers that is par for the course. Bb would make him a great player for us. Kind of a better version of Roman phifer.

Easily my current binky

I don't care about his measurable's. Its not where his game lies. Im hoping he comes in small and only 5'9. Might make him last till the end of the 2nd. I think at a minimum he's a high level slot corner in the NFl.

If he tests well at the combine, I might even take him at 32

I had him as a 1st before the year and still think hes worth it. I'm perfectly fine with him "only" being a slot guy.

I said months ago 31 teams should want him to help them stop us.
