2017 Draft Prospect Thread

His tumbling technique is terrible. I gotta remind myself that these are football players, not gymnasts, but when their tricking is so bad, it really brings out the elitist in me. It's the curse of being an acrobat.

Still, fun video.

I might be going too much off topic here but I always thought that it's interesting to see how players look when they are doing sports that are out of their comfort zone. This way you can find a lot of players that are naturally smooth in their movement which is underrated.

His first tuck was actually pretty decent, although he really cowboy'd it. It's the roundoff in the second clip that made me cringe. But you bring up a good point. I spend most of my time watching movement skills, since that's my background. I never had a chance to play football growing up, but I've been a professional acrobat, gym owner, and dancer, so I pay a lot of attention to how a player moves.

I saw some tape in the nose tackle from Colorado. He is huge and a total wilfork like run stuffer. Would be a very interesting pick at #239.

We met with him at the Shrine game.

I liked what I saw from Chris Carson today, so I did some more research. I like him. Runs hard. Only 1 career fumble. Low mileage, used in a rotation. Never had a 30 yard gain, but still averaged 6.8 yards this year. Reliable short yardage back it seems like. Has some experience in the passing game. Seems like a tough, competitive player. Check out some bruising runs from last year:

We probably shouldn't let him throw the ball, but nice runs otherwise:

Runs like a hammer. Nice game:

Not a bad highlight film. Lots of stiffarms, a hurdle, and power behind his pads:

Wow, Josh Jones just catapulted himself on NFL draft board..
first S behind Hooker and Adams..
crazy

He's been getting himself some buzz for a while. Which board?

Speaking of flying up draft boards, go look who is in the top 20 at CBS sports. RIP my dreams of my linebacker binkie.

He'll obviously have to transition from college DE, but it appears that Reddick has the athleticism, toughness, football IQ & desire to accomplish it. He should be able to become a 3-down LB with the ability to bring some extra juice to the pass-rush when needed. If all of my 1st-round DEs & CBs had been taken before 32, then he would've been impossible to bypass. That scenario is now of course moot.

It wasn't merely coaching that produced success at Temple the last 3 seasons; they
have had some good players too (thus my disappointment that Bill chose weak little Elandon Roberts at the end of the 6th round last year instead of maybe taking a chance on the productive, decorated New Englander Tyler Matakevich).
