Net cap hit from Waddle re-signing appears to be $1M, after pushing the previous 51st cap hit out of the 51 (Grigsby?).
As noted, though, the gross cap hit of $1.637 for Waddle seems ridiculously low, so it's suspected that there was also a restructure for another player that lowered that player's cap hit by a million or two.
The bottom line is that the Pats now have roughly $7.45M in free cap space, with $2M+ of that earmarked for the new rookies.
