Seahawks reportedly open to trading Sherman...

It'd definitely take a massive overpay for Seattle to deal him...Makes no sense at all.

A local writer with a little more color on the rumor.

Apparently Sherm has been very vocal in criticizing the coaching staff.

It’s not a ridiculous question. Well, not a completely ridiculous one, at least. One of the NFL’s more controversial figures had what appeared to be his most contentious season to date, as teammates were screamed at, coaches were questioned and apologies were absent.

Gifted as Sherman is, talent isn’t always enough to solidify one’s place on an NFL roster. Players that Bill Belichick has sent packing can tell you that much.

..

Never before has a defensive player publicly criticized his coach’s play-calling, as Richard did during a win over the Rams in December. And there certainly hasn’t been a player who doubled down on such criticism like Sherman did, repeatedly justifying his actions when it was clear Pete Carroll expected contrition.

Forget about Sherman’s interactions with the media. That combativeness might not be serving his public image well, but it’s irrelevant to his team’s success. When a player openly defies an organization’s chain of command — that’s a problem.

Outside eyes can only glean so much, of course. Perhaps the Seahawks handled the matter in a way the team is satisfied with internally. But if the response was simply, “Oh, well, that’s just Richard being Richard,” it can set a dangerous precedent for other players who grow irritated with their bosses.

Trading Richard Sherman would be a very bad idea

Not surprised as he thinks he can say whatever he wants to anyone, even the coaching staff. No matter what they say about their open culture, that will come back and bite you in the ass sooner or later...especially if they stop winning.

I don't think he's worth the headache and I don't think he is as good as he used to be either.

I dunno, Seattle's kinda capjail-ish, and they're in no danger of losing that division anytime soon. And the 12s don't know any better.

I'd have sex with Rosie O'Donnell to get him on the Pats. But I mean I'd kind of do that anyways because I'm Bi-curious.
Hmm. You "kind of have sex" with Rosie. Are magazines involved?

I heard it's because Sherman's not married and there might be some off the field issues. #hadtodoitmike
He must file his taxes as single but claims her and their child as dependents.

Thats BAD !

What do you mean, "their open culture" ??
