1/4 of the season gone...where do they end up?

I predicted 12-4 to start the season. Right now they look like a 9-7 or 10-6 team. I've seen this story many times throughout the years in the New Orleans Saints. Outstanding offense and QB play, hideous defense. I can't base anything on hopes and maybes and wishful thinking. Looking at the last 4 games and the last 4 games only, this is a 10-6 team. And that's a huge testament to Brady and the O, because without them this team is definitely a 5-11 ish team
I'll take the over of 10 wins for my house.

8-4, 10-6 record....

Honestly, unless some major and I mean major changes start to occur I see this team going 10-6 at best, 8-8 at worst.

The offense is putting up great numbers, but the D is letting everyone and their grandmother tee off on them, it's just too messy and broken right now for anyone to be talking playoffs.

I don't know how much zone or man they're playing. Curious to see how much man coverage they showed in this panthers game.

You know, as long as we knock off Buffalo twice and Jetes once, 8-8 might be enough to make the postseason as division winners.

This sounds crazy, but Im thinking we go 10-6, but get really hot as the season progresses and at least make the AFCCG.

I predicted 12-4, but am going to take that down to 11-5.

I think they go 9-3 to finish the season.

This feels like an 11 - 5 kind of team, which might still be good enough for a #2 seed this year.

Put offense is extremely underrated though we are putting up 30 points on very good defenses. Doing this while not clicking on all cylinders yet our line is bad and Brady and the new guys aren’t all the way there yet.

If the D can play like we know they can.. and it's a very very BIG IF I could see us going 12-4, my heart wants it to be 14-2 but we have tough road games coming up.

The offensive hasnt clicked on all cylinders yet and we are still putting up 30+ points a game on very good defences.

I predicted 9-7 and they'd miss the playoffs before the Edelman injury. Now I'd say 7-9.

I also predict the Gilmore signing has ripple effects for the next 7-8 years. I don't think they reach (or maybe get past the first round for one year) the playoffs for the next 5 years. Once Gilmore's contract expires in 3 years, they can start to rebuild, but that takes years.

Thanks troll
I was also called a troll when I predicted, back in July, that Gilmore would disrupt the chemistry of the defense. But now, some other posters are agreeing that he is.

And I was also called a troll when I predicted, prior to the Edelman injury, we'd miss the playoffs. Yet now, some others on this thread agree.

I was also called a troll when I said that Edelman is the most valuable offensive non-QB in the league. I was supposedly a "troll" because some other receivers are faster and taller, and that's the key to football isn't it? Well, the Pats are 2-5 without Edelman the last few years.

My predictions aren't based on homerism or emotions, they're based on analysis. And whether that analysis is right or wrong, calling me troll won't affect their accuracy.

you guys aren't paying attention....this is all scripted just like it was when I told the others in the room when it was 28-3 to 'watch this'

so now I have to break that quote out again.......

Watch this.......you heard it here

it is trolling when you say there will be a ripple effect on the team for the next 7-8 years, which is ridiculous and that they won’t reach the playoffs for the next five years. got it, troll?

Bloody work internet didn't even realise the bit got posted...

If our secondary can play like we know they actually can we can go 12-4... my heart wants 14-2..

In all honesty our D-Line did a fairly decent job against the panthers compared to the week before against Watson. So that's a positive. We just got to keep the faith.

I don't see anyway possible of avoiding four losses between Oakland, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Denver, Division games, TB. That's a horrific schedule. So 10-6 and a WC finish or barely missing out then a divisional round loss at best.

Patricia has cost himself a head coaching gig if the D keeps this up. Brady's brilliance is being countered from the D turning QB's into...Brady.

People will call me a troll because I'm always negative. Yet, where am I wrong in this assessment? Don't just say
" They've done it before". Because the D has never been this bad.

Brady's gonna have to be superman if they are to go 12-4.
