    Gunner Olszewski

Nope. He's eleventh in the entire NFL 32. https://www.foxsports.com/nfl/stats?season=2019&week=100&category=RETURNING&opp=0&sort=8&qualified=1&sortOrder=0&page=1

There are at least 32 punt returners in the NFL (more if some teams have multiple players doing it). Some people are making it sound like being the 12th out of 32 is bad. That's better than average. >62% of NFL punt returners are doing worse. Once he breaks a long one the numbers will look...

    Dion Lewis Fumble/NOT a fumble

Let's say a receiver catches a ball in the endzone, lands on his back and a defender rips the ball free a half second after he hits the ground. Is that a touchdown?

    Dion Lewis Fumble/NOT a fumble

The words 'surviving the ground' are never mentioned in the official rulebook. It's a construct used by broadcasters. The rules say possession must be maintained until 'after' contact is made with the ground, but they don't specify how long 'after.' I would take that to mean anything other...

    Dion Lewis Fumble/NOT a fumble

He should have pinned it to his helmet and everything would have been fine. What was he thinking? /s

    Dion Lewis Fumble/NOT a fumble

From the rulebook: "A player who goes to the ground in the process of attempting to secure possession of a loose ball (with or without contact by an opponent) must maintain control of the ball until after his contact with the ground" He did control the ball until after his knee touched the...

    Dion Lewis Fumble/NOT a fumble

He survived the ground. He didn't survive Myles Jack ripping it away after his knee touched the ground. If Jack hadn't done that he would have retained the ball. In real-time, this was not obvious so I don't blame the officials. I think you're more than a little deluded here. But the whole...

So what's the deal with the retired numbers?

Until they start allowing uniform numbers in triple digits, retiring any more numbers is pretty unworkable. Here you have a sport with 53 players (90 for training camp) and a finite set of 99 (minus the retired ones) to distribute among them. In camp, they're already doubling up players on the...

VIDEO: Reiss posts video of Burfict stepping on Blount's leg after TD

Yeah, but Bennett was an eligible receiver, without the ball more than five yards from the line of scrimmage. By the definition you provided, Burfict's action does not qualify as a cut block.

    Nate Washington Released

I'm not so unsure that I don't disagree.

Who Is Our Biggest Threat In The Division?

I would have to say that the biggest threat in the division is.... Roger Goodell

Tom Brady, NFLPA Granted 14-Day Extension To File Motion For Rehearing By Second Circuit Court

The other thing is noticed with my own gauge that I've never seen addressed is that it doesn't form a completely tight seal with the football. It allows about 0.05 lbs of pressure to escape every few seconds that the gauge is inserted into the bladder. I don't recall exponent accounting for this...

AFC Playoffs who do you fear the most?

I have to say that no football teams scare me. Those I fear the most are the trainers and orthopedic surgeons, followed by refs and league office.

Watch out for the NFL* shenanigans today. Footballs will be measured during today's game

Idiots. If they knew what they were doing, they'd check them outside first.

Watch out for the NFL* shenanigans today. Footballs will be measured during today's game

Nope. Psi can go down without the mass of the ball changing one iota if that reduction in psi comes from temperature change alone. Weight only goes down if air is removed

Watch out for the NFL* shenanigans today. Footballs will be measured during today's game

There is no way a fair evaluation does not show a decrease in psi. The dry weather doesn't matter because it's actually colder today than in the rainy game last year.

Watch out for the NFL* shenanigans today. Footballs will be measured during today's game

The team should really cover themselves with a parallel proper set of measurements on an extra set of footballs. That way have something to show in case the league tries some funny business like starting the measurement with cold footballs

Patriots Work Out Three Free-Agent Wide Receivers Including Julian Talley

I should hope so. He's only 27. But that's only if he had anything to begin with.

Could there be a MRSA outbreak at the Patriots (Speculation/Rumor)?

They should have went with anthrax spores in the pigskin.
