I don't think Kraft told anyone not to vote for Bill. But there was a sentiment that since only two people could only go in from that committee it wouldn't be two from the same team, so Kraft lobbying to get in would hurt Bill if it was successful. Alot of people felt if Bill got in, it would hurt Kraft for another year.
After everything Kraft has done since BB left I would be shocked he didn’t tell voters to not vote for him.

This take is not only stupid, but it is also ******ed and also moronic. Also, it's stupid.
I see you spouting a lot of words. Yeah he doesn’t treat people very well especially media, he pissed off others, and he was an embarrassment toward the end. And I’m sure that all factors in.

None of that diminishes who he was as a coach during the dynasty. Also I said he 100% deserves first ballot.

So **** you

Ya, I’m sure Kraft had a direct line like some Bond villain to every voter giving them directions how to vote…..utterly ridiculous Andy
You don’t think Kraft has contact with the press? You don’t think Kraft has spoken to the voters who have denied him so far.
Want to buy some swampland?

Mike Sando:
I'm a HOF voter who saw Belichick as slam-dunk. I don't know anything about voting results, but if this is true, and we'll find out officially next week, the question is, how could this happen?

Before I list possibilities, understand this: Belichick, Kraft, Craig, Anderson & Greenwood are competing for 1-3 spots, separate from the 15 modern-era finalists

50 voters each pick 3 of the 5

Between 1-3 make it (40+ votes needed for anyone besides top vote getter to make it)

So it's a ZERO-SUM game, huge change made in '25: 250 total votes to go around for five candidates with a high bar for clearance

Now we count the potential ways Belichick might get fewer than 40 votes even when 40+ on committee think he's a HOFer...

•Let's say 4-5 voters who were strong advocates for specific senior players figured Belichick was going to make it regardless, so they funneled votes to competing candidates in hopes of boosting them over the 40-vote threshold;

•Let's say a few voters prioritized senior players on the thinking that Belichick will be back in the room next year, while the players on the ballot this year might disappear into the senior pool forever

•Let's say a few voters found Spygate/cheating disqualifying

•Let's say a few voters protested new rules making coaches eligible one year after retiring instead of five

Whatever the case, I would see this as a repudiation of the new voting rules implemented for 2025, not of Belichick or any candidate not making it.

There will be changes to the process, I predict

I respect you, Mike, but this is horseshit. The guy has 2 defensive gameplays in the HOF.

I sure would like to see some real investigative reporting done here, some reporter or a group do some digging and find out who didn’t vote for him.

"So **** you "

The emoji really does give off that middle school little ***** aura you're aiming for. Well done.

Bill's recognition as the greatest, as one to be enshrined in whatever regard, was already done, and will forever be substantiated, by those who played for him and those who coached with him. I'd imagine that's all he cares about. Wouldn't surprise me if he smirked reading he didn't make it. He knew the media hated him.

Whatever.

BTW, note that he doesn't actually say "I voted for him". . . .

Says the guy who still uses a word like “******” as an insult.

When Belichick gets in, does he have to shake hands with any of the pricks responsible for this at the ceremony?

I’m glad players that played against Bill are speaking up.

I think Kraft lobbied his way in and told them not to have belichick go in with him.
That was the dynasty doc. It will funny when he gets in and then next yr adds BB to the patriots HOF just to rub it in.
