It's easy, and only takes a few moments. It would have been nice to get a good Left guard prospect in the draft as well since I don't trust any of these guys already on the roster but with a limited number of picks you make the picks and live with it, they did pick a Center which was also a need, maybe even bigger and got the best center prospect instead of maybe the 3rd or 4th LG.
A good idea but we already have Layden Robinson and Sow, I would like to see how they work out with Vrabel and his staff.
With Schweitzer retiring, maybe that get's the Pats on the right track.. How many years did the Pats have a Vet O-lineman retire in TC?
It will be interesting to see whom they get to replace Schweitzer or if they use the roster sport for someone like Clowney.
Screw Big Bill. Total douche, and not in the good way.
Sure I’ll consider it.I'm sure there are a few more that we aren't considering too. Vinatieri is lock does that mean we should at least consider Gostkowski.
We used to laugh about it since it seemed to happen so regularly. "Who was the vet OLman who was going to retire this year?"
Still a lot of interesting names that are still out there and most will be signing in the next few weeks, plus you have the entire UFL rosters to pick and choose deserving players. I haven't watched much, but I'm sure among those who did, they would have a few binkies. That should probably be a thread
You never can tell. Ninko was a guy who wasn't signed until after camp started AND when he was, it was reported that he was a long snapper who also played some LB. There are always 3 or 4 guys that people rarely talk about in the runup to the season, who end up being solid contributors.
I wouldn't be surprised to see some of the young OLmen surprise people. The last couple of years the offense coaching and the OL in particular was NOT good and consistent. Didn't Mayo's guy leave mid-season? If the coaching and blocking systems improve so should the OL play. I'm expecting the OL to actually surprise some people. Better players, Better coaching, Better systems should equal Better results. The only fly in the ointment will the time and reps it will take for the OL to develop any kind of "continuity", because the fans will have zero patience for anything less than zero sacks, 3 pressures and gaping holes for RB's to run through.
Good observations. I thought Klemm left for "personal reasons/ illness". Bottom line the last couple of years the OL has NOT received a consistent voice from coaches as they've essentially been through 4 different visions and systems (Patricia, Obrien, AVP, and now Josh) Even though the OL talent is obviously better, we might not see the full extent of the potential improvement from the OL this season due this lack of any continuity over the last 3 years and yet another new staff coming in this season.Camp is going to be very interesting to follow for a variety of reasons. But the O-line will likely be everyone's focus.
Yes, Klemm left mid-season. He had a very heated blow-out with Wolf. It supposedly happened with players around and Klemm supposedly told Wolf he was garbage at getting talent. O-line or otherwise.
One of the biggest differences going into this camp is that WOLF won't have a voice in who practices where and for how many reps. Wolf totally fubared the development of Wallace with his insistence that the kid try and learn the nuances of both LT an RT at the Pro-Level as a rookie. The bouncing back and forth during practice was just stupid.
Campbell, Strange, Bradbury, Onwenu, Moses is your top 5 from LT to RT (sans injuries).
I would says that the next 5-7 positions are up for grabs, though Lowe and Wilson likely have the inside track.
Where will Wallace be practicing? LT/RT/Both? Hopefully, they'll give the kid a focus (RT) and let him learn from Moses.
Will Lowe be able to hold off Marcus Bryant and keep his spot on the Roster?
Will Sidy Sow revert back to the good we saw in his rookie year and force Wolf to cut his "guy" in Layden Robinson? With Tyrese Robinson, Mekhi Butler and Jack Conley also in camp, can Sow fend them off or even push for Cole Strange's spot as the starting LG?
Who will be the primary back-up to Bradbury now that Schweitzer has retired?
Are Ben Brown and Demontray Jacobs salvageable? Could they end up on the PS and be the first calls the way that Brandon Gorin and Tom Ashworth were?

I think you are right. Campbell, Strange, Bradbury, Owenu, and Moses are the likely starters to begin the season. It's an interesting group. A very athletic left side and a very brawny right side. I think it will be an effective OL WHEN they develop that continuity that is so important to good OL's and Campbell gets some experience with NFL rushers.
If he doesn't win the job outright, the rookie will be the back up C. I suspect Sow will revert to his rookie form and win the 3rd G slot and it is my HOPE that Wallace wins one of the back up OT jobs. They will likely keep Lowe if only to have an experienced back up to a rookie. That's 9 guys there. The last slot will be up for grabs and frankly I don't care who wins the 10th OLman slot. 3 more will wind up on the PS.
Got any UFL binkies?
