Whatever the offense did or didn’t do, it put together 3 TDs in the 1st 3 quarters. Then it put together a clock killing 4th quarter drive. If our Third Down Offense put up another performance like Sunday: we'll be on the other end of this one. We gotta be over 50% on Third Downs and not below.
In the off chance Stid goes on a run and wins the AFCCG and the Super Bowl, would he be a starter next season for a desperate team?
And I think Tuna's contributions are overstated just like his Pats HOF candidacy.
I read somewhere that Sean Payton's career playoff record is 10-9. Like the coach himself, good, but nothing special. The thing that I respect most about Payton is his longevity. He's been good for a long time and I really respect that, BUT he hasn't been GREAT for a long time and people somehow forget that. Of the 3 coaches that are left besides Vrabel, I fear Payton the least. Just sayin'
I'd never seen this before, I just had it recommended to me on youtube.I don't remember that, but I trust you implicitly so I have no doubt you did.
Doesn’t have to be activated from IR until SaturdayNo corresponding roster move though, this is kinda weird.
If he can go, even with the layoff, I feel a LOT better.Doesn’t have to be activated from IR until Saturday
This is the thing that all the noise about lack of scouting on Stidham misses. Mine included. A lot of the defensive game planning is going to be about how to attack their offensive line. That may also test Stid’s ability to read defenses and adjust protection. That latter should also be a factor in defending their running game.… this is not about Stidham. It's about how well the O-line protects him and how well Payton calls the game. Teams can win games with solid NFL backups.
However, I could easily see Stidham with multiple passes batted down, multiple picks and a fumble from him if they can apply any semblance of pressure.
OMG - you just alienated half the board.1.) Swinson
2.) CJ Dupre
3.) Chism
That's a winner right there
I do think Stiddy is not a good QB, but I do not think he will play as bad as Stroud did. I think Denvers defense is good enough to slow down the offense and I am not convinced that Maye will not turn the ball over. I think Denver has a much better OL than we have gone up against in awhile.Holy Cow. Did you just say that a 29 year old QB with only 4 starts in his career with 8 TDs and 8 INTs doesn't suck and that he just unproved? What has the guy been doing for 7 years? Its not starting or winning, that is for sure. The 4 games he started were because Carr and Wilson got benched. Both seasons were the last two games of the year.
We lose this game if Drake loses this game. Its that simple.
They are at home and a good team around them. The QB isnt te big issue there. We all know tom brady wasnt tom brady in 2001 and his first start they beat manning at home. Strange stuff happens. The pressure is on the offense to not lay an egg . They havent all yr except in spurts vs buffalo and baltimore and cincy.I see the wildcard here being our D-line vs. their O-line which is better than Houston's and LA's. If we can't get to Stidham it will be a long day. And at that altitude, the longer our D stays on the field, the worse it will get for them. It's absolutely imperative to get our defense off the field as quickly as possible on every Denver offensive drive. Otherwise, they'll be gassed out by the beginning of the 3rd quarter, if not beforehand.
This is why protecting the ball is key on Sunday. Most people thought an ass kicking was going to occur against Manning in 2001, but the defense created many turnovers and made it easy for Brady. Pats can't do that for Stidham on Sunday. They need to make him think and put the pressure on him. They are at home and a good team around them. The QB isnt te big issue there.
