I think this is how it is right now.

Brady
.
.
Bell
Gronk
Gurley

I guess handing off to RBs to score the TD makes him suck.

In the first 11 games of the season Brady had 3 ints
In the last 3 games Brady has 4 ints

In the last 2 games Gronk played: Brady has 315 yards passing to Gronk and 241 yards passing to everyone else.

In the game Gronk didn't play...

Brady has pretty clearly not played well the last 3 games. And yet after that 3 game stretch there is pretty much no one else left in the MVP conversation :Do_O

The clutch drive last night... on the road in a very hostile stadium, sealed the deal IMO. More so than his stats.

You mean the one he was almost intercepted on the first play and then threw 3 completions to Gronk(last one where Gronk had to pick it off the ground) and then Dion Lewis ran it in for a TD?

If anyone should get MVP after that drive its Gronk.

Also, if Brady doesn't throw a bad int in the Pats own territory maybe the game winning drive isn't even necessary.

The voters are not going to remember nor care about that near int, nor the actual one earlier in the game, just like very few care about the pick 6 in the Super Bowl. What they will care about is Brady is 40 and doing things 40 year old QB's aren't supposed to do.

Gronk doesn't have anything close to the catches and yards to get serious consideration over a QB. IMO

Objectively, it's now Brady's to lose after that drive yesterday in combination with his body of work for the season. Unless something goes freakishly wrong over the next two weeks, I don't see how he doesn't get it. Who are the viable competitors?
Wentz? More than viable, but he will miss the last three games. Plus the Eagles beat a Division Rival on the road without him yesterday...ok the Giants suck this year, but a division game is still a division game. If they'd gone 0--3 without him maybe, I could see giving it to him. Now they could go 2--1 or 3--0. Hard to argue he's MVP if they do that.
Brown? He, too, will miss most of three games, but was never as legit a contender as Wentz.
Wilson? Hard to imagine after this week.
Rivers? Ditto

But...the damn thing's a ****ing jinx when it comes to the SB...It's been like 18 years since the MVP won the SB...can't he give it to charity or something?

Andy, would you honestly say that the past 3-game stretch in which Brady has averaged 7.3 yards per attempt, 1.33 INTs per game and .67 TDs per game is MVP-level performance?

Brady's season-long otherworldly dominance has been taken down a notch since the achilles problem started showing up on the injury reports. It's not an affront to the GOAT's honor to acknowledge that fact.

Does VV deserve any coach of the year recognition for having 3 QBs starting in the NFL?

Brady completed 70% of his passes for over 8.5 ypa and win by 20 in the road in buffalo. GOOD GAME.
Brady had a poor game yesterday.
Brady threw for 300 yards and put up 27 points in beating an 11-2 team in the road after getting 3 first half possessions. He led a game winning 4th quarter comeback TD drive. GOOD GAME.
2 of the 3 games are exactly why he is the real mvp.
You really have to stop looking at football as if fantasy football is what matters.

The first was tipped. I guess he should not throw to Gronk? Why?

You win, Brady sucks.

Barring a collapse in the last two games, Brady won the MVP award as of yesterday.

You really can’t change how the games play out. What if’s and could haves never happened so don’t rely on them too much for an argument because the same hypotheticals should go the other way too if you want to be fair.

I'm not sure where you're trying to go with this. But, if you're going where I think you're going, you should probably not go there. Barring a collapse in the last two weeks, Brady sewed up the MVP award yesterday.

I expect Brady to win the MVP. I mainly just think its funny that the 3 game stretch where he underperforms is when he wraps it up.

MVP is relative, it's not a one man contest. His competitors were hurt or fell off a lot worse. And IMO even if they didn't, he'd still win for reasons I mentioned in other posts.

Dont really care for the MVP award. never really fascinated me.

He made up for all of it in one drive last night. That's what voters are going to remember, as they should.

As I said before I think the league will also try and nudge the voters to give it to him. As kind of an apology for what he's been put through in the last 35 months, knowing full well it was crap.

The claim of him under performing is misleading. The Buffalo game has been wrongly called a bad performance and, yesterday, he basically had one bad play all game, and it was a play where he was getting hit.

This. Too many people are playing up his TD/INT ratio the past 3 games as if it's really indicative of anything, when they simply finished off a lot of drives where Brady made great throws with Dion or Burkhead. Brady was bad in MIA, but solid against Buffalo (the play where he and Josh yelled at eachother afterwards and the INT are the only bad plays I really remember, and the INT was arguably not his fault?), and whatever was causing him to be so inaccurate against MIA seems to have been alleviated yesterday.

The claim of him under performing is misleading.

Yeah, it's all about context. He's been underperforming relative to Tom Brady, which can still be plenty good. :) He was just playing so ridiculously perfectly for a while that it sets a tough standard.

It's not just that, either. The INT in Buffalo happened on a play where the officials ignored an obvious defensive penalty. That INT would never have happened but for the (uncalled) illegal action by the defender.

I’m saying he hasn’t had 3 bad games and I don’t care whether he throws it in or runs it in.
He played very well vs buffalo and Pittsburgh. I can’t believe people are trying to argue that.
