Hey guys, I realize I'm wayyyy late to this party but I made a FS that is on a CPU team now. He's only level 2 but is practicing hard to improve . DOn't know if you need another dude or if he needs to gain some more XP before stepping up to the big leagues but I'd love to join the team if you need an extra FS. He is Ty Dusso on the Virginia Miners. Any advice is also welcome in terms of levelling him up, etc. I need something to get me thru the complete lack of Pats news these days!

Hi there. We're definitely always looking for more Patsfans, so we'd love to have you. I will advise you that we're about to add two more safeties to our rotation, so that's not a major position of need for us ATM. If you're interested in getting more playing time sooner with us, it might not be a bad idea to retire that guy and make a cornerback (we only go three deep there), offensive lineman (we might need a guard in the near future), running back (we don't really have a backup HB), or #4 WR. If you're set on a safety, though, then that's fine too.

OK, I got the bug, just created a CB - 'Fiddlers Green' is his name. Only level 4 now, but I'm content to have him be 3rd string for a while, until he levels up quite a bit.

Well that backfired for me, i retired my FS to make a CB. Oh well.. Level 1 named Skinny Law is available.

Just made a guard, since that's definitely a position of weakness for us (plus they're cheap as hell to flex up). I'm making him a run-blocking specialist, with the speed to get out and throw blocks for Maroney on sweeps and screens and stuff. Might release him from the BP and level him up in the d-league instead, though, so that he'll get enough in-game experience to be effective when we need him:

From what I understand, after 10 seasons, your skills start to decline.

Sorry, I was sure I read that somewhere (must have been another hallucination), at any rate, I guess we'll still need to plan for player skills deteriorating starting season 10 though. Reading the forums it looks like maybe the rate of decline is still undecided?

That would be a good idea, though with the waiting list where it is, it will take a while to get someone in from the waiting list. Anyone have an existing A-League team that they want to use as a sort of farm system? If not, the D-Leagues accomplish pretty much the same goal.

I actually created a SS back when you first made this post about GLB but then I hesitated for a few days and the starting spot got snatched up so I just moped around the house for a couple weeks. Then the guys on the Nebraska Huskers board I frequent decided to make a team and I made a FB and C for them. We are actually in the championship game to be played tomorrow so we've had some great success (in BBB #12) considering this is our first year.

Congrats! We're in Oceania Pro, and finished this season 14-2. We made it to the conference finals, before losing by 3 points, but we're going to go and win it all this coming season.

Got an email from a guy with a L1 RB who says he really wants to be on our team even though he knows he won't get a ton of reps. Cool I tell him I'll get him in there as the 3rd RB (since Tatupu seems inactive/always lacking energy) and maybe some STs.

Great he says.

Send him a contract. He accepts. He then sends me two emails, one looking for more playtime (mind you he has yet to play a snap) and then another wanting more money.

So I tell him that he should find another team and is welcome to as I'll be releasing him as soon as I can.

So either he was a fake account made simply to have a look at our team message board or he wanted more snaps at L1. Each one seems equally ridiculous to me.

Maybe we should have a house-rule that we don't talk to people under say level 5. That'll stop the spying issue (you can't create a guy, and boost him just to read the team forum) and It'll show they're at least sticking around for a little while.
